Problem with mod saving

My mod, for whatever reason, won't save when I try to save it. It does nothing and the * remains by it's name. If I hit save again, the Construction Set comes up and says, "Save restarted before previous Save was finished. Continue playing?" If I hit no, it will close of course and the file remains unchanged. Sometimes however, it does actually "save", however the files comes out to be about 43KB instead of the 1.1MB it should be. Does anyone know what's happening? Am I making a dumb mistake? Thanks,
