Help me improve my load order, my brain is fried

Hey everyone,

this is my first post on here, so i have no idea what to expect, but here goes;

I've spent the last couple of days loading FO3 up with mods after playing through it with FWE and WMK a while ago. I decided to scour FO3Nexus, and i basically decided upon installing the motherlode - FWE, FOOK2, WMK, MMM, Project Beauty and a whole bunch of other stuff. I think i've worked out most of the kinks, but there's still some stuff that doesn't work. So please check out my load order and the bugs i've listed below, i would appreciate any kind of feedback. I've got all the DLC and i've patched the game to V1.7. I've based this load order on OffKorn's load order (http://www.offkorn.com/blog/?page_id=519), seeing that was put together over a longer amount of time with some thought put to it.

Bugs:

Project Beauty: The new hairstyles added by PB's expansion aren't showing up in character creation, instead i'm getting the familiar big red block.

Underground Hideout Related: Buggy textures on the righthand side directly behind the hidden door, and on the floor of the Armory, behind the gate with bars. Also: No T51 Armor stand, No teleporter.

Opening Hours for Rivet City seem very short. I think one of the Overhauls changes them, but i haven't yet discovered which.

I've cleaned up my merged patch with FO3Edit, and most of everything seems to look OK there. I've read through parts of Miaxs tome, and i think i understand some basics of how to resolve conflicts. I haven't had any CTD's with this configuration yet, but i haven't even seen combat or explored anything except Rivet City and the Underground Hideout. I've gone through several reinstalls of FO3 and my mods over the last couple of days, and i think i've come to the last leg of working out the kinks and actually playing. Please suggest any changes i should make, or some essential mods i've missed out on.

Also i'd like to ask if it would be wise to reinstall without the official patch, and go with unofficial one instead?

Thanks in advance for any and all help,

Best, Mike.

First, load Broken Steel after the other DLCs. But that is minor.

Project Beauty is for NPC "beautification" mod, so the cosmetics probably wouldn't show for PC creation. Just a guess, because it has been some time since I had PB installed, but the resources might be set to "Not Playable."

Get Lings Finer Things for availability of cosmetics in character creature.

Insofar as mod utilities, there are two must-haves: Timeslip's FOMM (which I'm assuming you have by playing with your load order) and FO3Edit by ElminsterAU. The later is a must-have for detecting and resolving mod conflicts. You'll want Miax's great FO3Edit Guide - Web-enized

to learn how to use Elminster's invaluable utility.

First the downside ... with a bunch of mods already installed, the conflict resolution process can take a while at first. Basically it is setting the load order in FOMM and then checking conflicts in FO3Edit. Rinse, lather, repeat until you are sure that you're not going to get any further with just load order.

Then it's time to roll your sleeves up and get to work on serious conflict resolution following Miax's great guide.

Hope this helps!
