Poldi1 Posted November 5, 2009 Share Posted November 5, 2009 Ok so I've been browsing the nexus for a while and I'm completely overwhelmed by the vast number of mods available, and still the huge amount of mods sound really interesting/useful. All the file info and readmes give me the idea that using some of the mods together will be quite difficult to set up properly, so I hope I can get help here. I already found the FOIP (FallOut Interoperatibilty Program) and the FOOK+FWE Merger, but I'm not quite sure which and how to use it.To avoid unnessecary mistakes during the "installation procedure" I decided to go by one mod after another, checking it's functionality each time before installing the next mod. So this first post will evolve over time and might become something like a diary in which I hope you will participate in ;) Also with your help it might become a handy installation guide for people that want (some of) the same mods. Installation Diary:===================-Started with a nice full working install of Fallout 3 german version.-Patched it to 1.7-Added all the available DLC (Operation Anchorage, The Pitt, Broken Steel, Point Lookout, Mothership Zeta). Until I'm sure I'll put it aside. -Taking a look at the FOOK+FWE merger: It's talking about FOOK all the time, not FOOK2. is this merger compatible with FOOK2? Until I'm sure I'll put it aside. -Installed Marts Mutant Mod (MMM RC41). During Installation Windows asks me wether to replace 114 files (starting with "skeleton.nif") which seem to be from FOOK2. Good question... Should I keep the FOOK2 files? Or replace them with the ones from MMM? Until I get to know that I decided to not replace any files so I don't break the working FOOK2 install, which leaves the MMM insatall incomplete in my eyes. Tested again with the above load order, leaving the added MMM files deactivated. Game still works, but I'm sitting here with the unfinished MMM install and the ready-to-deploy compatibility files from FOIP (Mart's Mutant Mod - FOOK2.esp, Mart's Mutant Mod - FOOK2 - DIK.esp).
