Change Saerileth's face

First off, I want to say that I am only wanting to change this for my own personal tastes in no way should take away from the great job done on this character. I am also not trying to make a companion that basically steals everything from the original author and then release it as my own. I just want this for my own game play. If I do ever get this the way I want it and someone asks for it.....like the Eyja face upgrade kinda....it will only be with all authors permissions to use the items I encorporate. Any and all are welcome to call me on the carpet if they see this project available for upload without those permissions....OK, enough with the disclaimer crap. Onward!

 

I was trying to change Saerileth's face, hair, eyes and clothes/armor using the CS. I opened it and clicked on the main Oblivion esm file, the esp files that had the clothes, armor and weapons I wanted her to have, abriael humans for the face, Saerileth's esp (tried both active and "non active" choices)....basically all the esps that I would be using part of to do this. I then got her to look just how I wanted choosing abimperial race, the hair, eyes, armor etc....even to the point where I could see her in the animation window....(she looked great btw) I didn't modify the scripts or class or anything other than her inventory, race, hair and eyes. I then tried a couple of different ways of saving/using this....

1. hit save or closed out where it asks you if you want to save changes to it

This option gives here no head and CTD after I "talk" to her and finish her initial intro where she becomes your companion. After this when I go back in to look at her in the CS, her race in now "vampire"

2. named it different (gave her a last name) and saved it as a different esp and unchecked the original

I can see her name but she is invisible and it says "the ghost is moving its lips but you can't hear" or something like that.

 

Can you not change non-CM type companions faces in these kinds of esps? or am I missing a step or two or something else important?

I did look for some of those You Tube "how tos" but couldn't find one that was specific about non-CMs. I also looked in the forums but was going blind trying to get my filter words to give me the results. Can someone help or at least post some links with information on this? :thanks:

Thank You! I didn't even think to check to see if Wrye Bash would do that. SITUATION #3: IMPORTING FACES FROM SAVEGAMES TO COMPANIONS looks like it will work great. I had always assumed that it was for importing to the player face, not an NPC. I have always just used others work before. I have played this game until my HD was raw lol. I really liked Saerileth's story line but "politely disagree" with her being a beautiful NPC. I think my current favorite face is Abriael Human companion 3 Deidre using HGEC ecup/LL bottom and Hentai's Tira's Glory armor. I have similar "issues" with the Rhianna Goddess companion.,,, :rolleyes:

 

What about her/their inventory....that didn't seem to work either. Any help with that?

I am currently working on a male romance companion mod based on Sulterics "Stoker Wolff" so I have experiance with this kind of mod.
