vereena
Hello there, this topic is similar to my other Falcon topic on Bethesda's forum, but I thought it might be nice to start it here aswell. If admin thinks otherwise, I am affraid his is the right :) I am making this mod for two reasons:First - I am devoted Star Wars fan,Second - because since Mothership Zeta came out nobody bothered to make decent space ship mod. And I have decided to fill this gap.All "space ships" for fallout I saw are nothing more than another twisted dungeons with no entrance or exit where you have to teleport yourself in, only nice addition was a window with Earth and stars texture behind. First I tried to give it a bit of "life" by making my space station revolving, Idea is good and I still work on it, but my goal is to give you a ship you can actually see, touch, live in it and land on the ground or keep it in space. Unfortunately due to game's engine limitations and my lack of skills I was forced to skip several nice touches like animated trap door, scripted animations through setPos, setAngle, rotate doesn't seem to work very well and get confussed from time to time, sorry here. This is how it looks Regarding "landing ship on the ground" idea, that's the main feature of my mod, so it has to work. But if you expect to actually see the ship landing, as I said sometime before " no fancy animation here".Hovewer, you will have the ship on the ground in 6 places through wasteland (c'mon he's really big, you can't land it just about anywhere you know), whitch ones you'll have to find out for yourself or read the spoiler.I have spoiled all affected locations for those concerned with possible conflits with other modsMind you, you will be able to land on that location once you have actually been there (you can fasttravel to this location). The landing locations for Falcon are: 1 - Rivet City (Floating over the water behind broken bow)2 - Dunwich Building (canyon southwest from the building)3 - Vault 92 (literally over the entrance)4 - Fort Constantine (east from it, on a field south from SatCom array NN03d)5 - Jury Street Metro (due south-west)6 - Cryslus Building (backyard near baseball pitcher) The quest for Falcon is quite simple, you will just have to repair it... (you didn't see that coming, did you?)cheers

vereena
LOL m8, you can always leave the ship and find something outside, there's plenty of this stuff all around wasteland!I'm sure you can get your hands on camera or some conductors i.e. in super duper mart or in almost ANY locationnormal stuff will do, nothing fancy is needed! If it's fancy (like fuses, or manual) it's onboard in sufficient numbers:) If you're having trouble with finding what's to be repaired, try main terminal, he'll tell you! If you got that file before 5 pm GMT on 14th Nov, please don't post anything here, just get it again, first one was messed up!!!
vereena
Regarding iris door(not only the left one), this is something within door mesh itself, its mainly because those door were designed for completely different purpose and player was not meant to walk through them at all, you just have to live with it.The only remedy for that is to quick save while the door's open and load the game, than everything should b e ok, it worked for me at least. guReMcO
Alright I downloaded the latest .esp. The Airlock bug is still there. If I walk in with a spacesuit on a quick loadscreen appears but after that I'm stuck in the airlock with no hud and nothnig happening and I can't get out. Also I noticed that if I walk in with other armor on (ignoring the message) and then put on the spacesuit and press the button the energy shield will go up but nothing else happens. I dunno if that's what's supposed to happen or... I dunno about the door thing I went back to the wasteland after reloading the save because of the airlock. EDIT: Alright just tried a save in the wasteland. Went back to the ship but the airlock still won't work

cwolf20
On a slightly funny note. with a not funny start. Someone modded Zeta to the point where it's fully staffed etc. The soldiers can be invited to be followers. Though they can be considered cannon fodder at most. I put 2 of them on the Falcon. I periodically catch one or both with a wrench and bending or kneeling over something and tinkering. Also, when the gaming table is on, the 2 soldiers duck behind cover and shoot back. edit: going to have to completely reload the mod after removing the soldiers and putting them back at their base. Apparently I was supposed to try and open a container in storage, and after unlocking the monitor I stopped being able to see space out the windows. All it is is grey. Deeke7777
This is one of the most creative mods I've seen in a while. I am both a Star Wars fan and a Fallout 3 mod enthusiast, so this is a double treat for me. I haven't completely finished the quest and repaired everything yet (I still can't find the Plasma Tanks, heh) but so far it is an incredible experience, just like your HMS Vanguard submarine mod. I love the little details such as the mini robots that battle each other, the "Blue Harvest" couch, and all the awesome Zeta textures seen everywhere, not to mention the alien weapons in the case. It's a great experience so far and I haven't seen anyone else put more devotion and time into a ship, let alone an icon that everyone around the world can recognize. Thanks again for creating such a fantastic mod for all of us to explore and utilize in our ever-expanding library of Fallout 3 game modifications!
