The Dark Brother
OBSE is great - since using it, I have had no crashes whatsoever; before, they occured daily at least. The only thing that's bugging me is the Oblivion Launcher still points to the original game exe. Is there any way to make the Launcher point to the OBSE.exe, so I don't have to load the launcher to choose my mods, exit and then run the game via my OBSE shortcut? moriz
the easiest would be to install OBMM and use that to launch your game. it will detect and load OBSE if you have it installed.
dezdimona
OBSE is Oblivion script extender, you use for mods that need extended or scripts not available in vanilla game, create a desktop icon of OBSE and always launch your game from it.It will automatically go to the Oblivion exe and then launch your game

mistmorn
From the OBSE ReadMe: "If you use a desktop shortcut to launch Oblivion normally, just update the shortcut to point to obse_loader.exe instead of oblivion.exe." You would want to right-click your shortcut to bring up the *properties*. In the *target line* you would put this: "D:\Program Files\Bethesda Softworks\Oblivion\obse_loader.exe" YOUR installation path will already be in the target...so you really just have to do the swap like the read me indicates.
