Panzer4
...my saved games will work okay? Specifically, the reason I reinstalled was that I was getting CTDs about 80% of the time when I would save and the saved game that resulted would be corrupt. I couldn't figure out how to fix it so I reinstalled. Now my question is this: if I reinstall at least the more important mods that I had (OOO, Midas, Deadly Reflexes, Apachii Store, and a few others, I wonder if loading one of the most recent saved games could possibly do something to corrupt my present game? Panzer4
Thanks for the response and sorry for the late reply: Comcast has been doing some work in the neighborhood and I've been dark for awhile. Anyway, my main problem had stemmed from using Microsoft's Clean Boot application. I had been having so many problems with corrupt saves that I wiped my Oblivion drive and my minimal OS installation clean but then couldn't get the game to install. It turned out that the problem was that I had run the Clean Boot app before installing rather than after. Once I figured that out, it installed fine. I now have the game running with a bunch of mods including OOO, Fran's, MMM, and FCOM, all working together just fine thanks to OBMM and BOSS. My question was whether loading a saved game from the old installation might corrupt the new one, but in the meantime I've gotten so far along with the entirely different game these mods have created that the question no longer matters. Nevertheless, though, I'll take your advice about disabling save on rest and fast travel. As to the rest of it, I have nothing running in the background with my parallel OS installation that isn't essential to the game.
