Walter sullivan
after installing a bunch of mods, and playing the game, i've found that some custom weapons and ammo are causing problems. anyone who's equipped with them, has this big red error box, and magnums have ceased to exist it seems. should I buy one, the scoped .44, it gets renamed to .44 magnum instead. using the underground hideout mod for the hideout near Rivet, you can throw weapons onto a wall for display, but it refuses to accept the magnum. While I could just re-download the mods, and make sure all the textures and such get added, it would take quite a while, as I have many running at once.there's only one mod I can think of is the calibr mod. I've reinstalled the info, and nothing's changed. I also removed it from the list in FOMM and it didn't help. do I have to remove it from the directory completely?any ideas? I'm beginning to be annoyed by all these red error boxes people have. (though it is useful for spotting enemies at a distance.) list of mods i'm using in case it helps.a note easily misseda reasoned argument.advanced crippled effectsafro slayers nuka colaan evening with mr manchesterCOMMultimate perk pack felloutforce lockhair packin the shadow of the swampkillable childrenmotorcyclenuka cola 3000Rat trapReturn to shady sandsTailor MaidTo sleep perchance to dreamunderground hideout V3.1 also, is it possible to run too many mods? Branimirzg
Red (!) is sign for missing meshes...Are you sure that you have installed everything correctly?
Walter sullivan
I'm pretty certain that I reinstalled CALIBR correctly, and none of the other mods seem to have much to do with the new weapons and ammo that are causing problems. Branimirzg
wrong...even the shadow of the swamp adds new weapon meshes and textures...also COMM adds lots of weapons So maybe two of them are using same mesh or texture(in that case one of them would be overwriten during install)
Walter sullivan
hmm.this is getting complicated. maybe I should try shutting off COMM then?I don't think shadow of the swamp is the problem though, the guys other custom mods added only 1 or 2 new weapons, this one seems to add a whole bunch, all of them a problem. Branimirzg
hmmm...Just one question Have you activated archive invalidation? About removing mods... You could delete all mods from data folder...reinstall them one by one and test eachto find troublemaker . Also if you just deactivate Comm and try to load your save It will ctd.You will have to use Comm uninstaller to clean your save Here's some info about installing mods (link)-> How to install mods Check it to make sure that you have installed textures and meshes correctly
Walter sullivan
yes, i did use the archive invalidation invalidator tool.eeeeh....I don't like the prospect of uninstalling and reinstalling all those mods.i'll get to it eventually, as I imagine I'll want to start a new game when I'm done with this file, however I was hoping a solution would come without having to do that.ctd? what's that.i'll look into the comm uninstaller.not to sound like a know it all, but seeing as how I've installed all the other mods, and they're working fine (to my knowledge), I think I know how to install the textures and meshes. drag and drop them to your data folder in the fallout directory, agreeing to any overwrites needed. Branimirzg
ctd -Crash to desktop...Few scripted perks from COMM must be remove from save or game will crash. Well...I hope that you find way to fix it without reinstalling. Few times i had to reinstall 70-80 mods...That was a pain :(
