Muzz1497
I just started playing fallout again. fresh install and I installed all the big mods and some little ones. Checked out the load orders and I've been using fo3edit but right after I leave the vault, the first raiders I encounter are missing their armor, it its invisible. same with a couple people in megaton, their clothes or armor arne't showing up so its just invisible. what am I over looking. I must be something simple I'm overlooking if other people run these mods together. Please help.
csb
The armor isn't showing because you have no mesh/texture. This is usually caused by one of three things: 1. Archive invalidation hasn't been set in the Fallout3.ini file (in your Documents\My Games\Fallout3 folder). You can do it manually by opening the .ini file in a text editor (like Notepad) and changing bInvalidateOlderFiles=0 to bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 Better yet, use Timeslip's Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM) and click the "Toggle invalidation" button. This will do it for you without having to open the .ini file. 2. The texture/mesh wasn't installed with the mod. Check that you extracted not only the .esp for the mod, but also any texture or mesh resources. 3. Similar to 2, but they were installed to the wrong place. Extract the archive's textures and/or meshes folder into your Fallout3\Data folder -- you should have a textures and meshes folder in Data. If not, add them (right-click, New Folder). Select "Yes" if it asks to replace existing files.
