saundersc01
I was just wondering why all the inhabited buildings in Fallout look like crap. 200 years after the war and they still haven't even attempted to clean anything...what's up with that? warren2500
I have thought about that my self. 200 years should be long enough to clean up. Seems like some country has some lazy people :)
JA stu
Yeah, lazy and dead people! No one has cleaned up because it wouldn't be realistic. Imagine the conversation. 'There are a couple of mutants coming at us from the back door and radiation is slowly killing everyone on the bedroom, but let's just tidy up the place to make it look nice...' madman132
Tenpenny tower could have looked a bit better. Those are supposedly rich snobs. And they live in Rooms where the plastering is full of holes? "Underworld" looks better... Rivet City looks like a dump. They have some Rooms where green vapor comes from the floor. That can't be healthy... The best Places to live in would be the Vaults. I always wondered why no one ever tried to live in those Vaults; some of them have Problems which are rather easy to fix. After some "refurbishing" a vault would be perfectly fine and in every way better then anything on the outside... This may be a good Idea for a Quest mod: A Group of Settlers found a Vault a long time ago, got rid of whatever infested the Vault and shut off any devious Experiments Vault-Tec had running. They made the Vault a livable Place and closed the door, for the outside world had nothing better to offer. This Group lived in the Vault for some Generations until they completely forgot how they got there in the first Place and thought there where "legitimate" Vault Dwellers. mohikana
I actually had a similar idea, except that the player character could find a vault that was opened, fix it up, and try to convince the people of Megaton to live there instead. After all, they were all people who tried to get into Vault 101 :P
