Sorgren
I have encountered problems with missing voices, one example was the first npc you encounter in the game, valen dreth; speaks by telepathy to me, whilst the guards that charge in escorting our loved emperor do have voices but I am guessing that they might be as well able to talk but that I will encounter more afonic npc's during my play, as mentioned in the topic description I have a new freshly installed Oblivion (Spanish) and a Shivering isles (English, unpatched) the thing is I buyed SI in England, I think that has something to do, either way I was concidering changing Oblivion totally to English, I have a legal buyed from the store Oblivion and if it is precise for me to upload fotos as evidence i'd do it, as said I am no pirate and I do have a legal Oblivion whoever wants to help me out on this one could pm me please, that way we can stay in com, as for the voices, any possible solutions? Could installing a Spanish SI patch work?
David Brasher
My guess would be that If you use the Spanish version, both Oblivion and Shivering Isles must be Spanish. If you use the English version, they both must be English. I know that people have trouble using mods that are in a different language, even so far as file paths being wrong and meshes and textures being missing. To make it more complicated, The English Version has bugs which can cause voices to be lost after you visit the Shivering Isles. The problem often goes away, or can be forced to go away. But I have never heard of that particular problem occurring during character generation.
Sorgren
Thanks, listen, I may sound a bit suspicious, just to prove that I have no bad intentions I can send a photo of the oblivion + shivering isles CD or... idk. I want the files that would make it go to english (Oblivion) because I would fix the voices and enjoy the game more, so far it was a mix of english and badly translated spanish text with english voices. Don't want to look like a pirate here or anything, as a matter of fact, the language files will be of no use to me anyway if I didn't have the game. Please could you, you know? help me out of this.
