well all it would need is alternating hand to hand animations. That and blade sounds and dismemberment stats as applied to bladed weapons. I mean easiest scenario would be to re-mesh the spiked knuckles and make the spikes longer and maybe remove the brass knuckle that they're attatched to.

:happy: I know! wouldn't it. But I still can't find one. there's JaySuS claws and blades, but they only work if you download the CommonWeatlth of Modders. And I hadn't intended to do that right away. But it looks like I might need to. Still, I would like more Wolverine-esque claws.

I had some free time there this morning and I've modelled, textured and rigged the claws. I set them up so they simply replace the brass knuckles and can only dismember if you get a critical hit, this means you will use both hands instead of just the right, as with the deathclaw glove.

 

but I cannot, for the life of me, get them to show up in game

 

I'm guna check what they say over in the trouble shooting thread cuz this one has me stumped

Hm, so have you got a mesh and texture? I might be able to rig it together, I finally got the claws n' blades to work right and its awesome! I didn't need the huge mod, I just tweaked it around a bit and somehow got it to work, however it shows up weird on females. I don't think there was a female hand model for it anyway. it just clips at the wrist. But the claws are sweet. They aren't neccessarily Wolverine claws but more like Ninja claws, mounted to a plate strapped arpund the hand. I gave them 999999999 health, because frankly, adamantium shouldn't break. and just for test purposes, I gave them something around 500 damage and dismember only and added knife impact data and sounds. Nothing is quite as beautiful as leaping through the air, slashing a clawed hand, and severing a super mutants head. It's almost poetic lol. Pretty much wherever you hit something, it gets hacked off. VATS attacks are even better. I uppercutted a slavers head clean off his shoulders and launched it about 20 feet into the air.

 

So, with your claws, make sure there's a separate model that lines up with the female knuckles. you shouldn't have to worry about clipping as I'm pretty sure it won't require a separate hand model and probably only involves an armor addon. I'm working on making Wolverine type "powers" so when you equip the claws, its scripted to add an invisible clothing item enchanted with like, restore limbs, health, rads when not in combat, increase unarmed and speed when in combat and an overall higher DR. That would unbalance the game though so I'm thinking a separate one without the powers.

Yup, have em here, what format is handiest for you? I'm usin 3Ds max 9 but I can export it as whatever

 

Out of curiosity, did you use a deathclaw gauntlet as a base or did you manage to get it working over the brass knuckles?

 

bdw, you should just set it so the wair and tair multiplier is 0.0 instead of giving them really high health, means you'll never have to repair em

well if you've got a nif and a texture, there's no need to base it off anything. It can become it's own unique weapon. That's what i did with the other claws. and yeah i suppose that could work too, I never really thought to do that. I think I might have once and didn't notice that it was 0 because it was still full health. yeah, so just attatch those and I'll see what i can attempt
