The movie takes place in post-apocalyptic Australia. I'd say that's pretty dusty.

And it's not for lore so much as the fact that the engine doesn't handle glossy, shiny stuff very well. Trust me. :thumbsup:

Oh sorry, I was thinking of releasing the prototype not the fully scaled version, but now I won't do either. :)

 

hey now worries I am Really glad to have you, your great ideas and help and i am really Excited To Get things moving :) we will Try to keep things in email i guess Cause we probably want things like quests and cool stuff in the mod to be A secret :)

Okay Folks this has been long in the waiting and I know there are some who could careless at this point seeing how dead the thread has been.

with that said This mod is finally coming to light i have been pain staggeringly been working completely solo on this mod.

status update is as fallows.

 

this will be an adaption of the movie a prequel to beyond the thunder-dome.

all new meshes, textures there are no pre-modded items other than Xio's max dog textures.

what is going to set this mod apart from the rest is authenticity, quality and above all the rest everything is new.

 

the mod will be a bit more modest then the original plan but even still I am beginning to impress my self and this is a good sign for the average nexus goer.

 

Some things are more max lore friendly and others more fallout 3 friendly. it will be an amalgamation of the 2.

 

The real Mad Max armor, gun, knife this is not an imitation. like many armors or guns released be for.

as i am coming close to post production Now is the time To get your ideas in to the mod . thoughts

 

And i hope you will come to appreciate how far my skills have come ;)

 

there is no team there is only me whom has put months of work into this so please be patient this not another dead max mod

Not sure what your current plans are actually. I hope you don't overtake yourself. Create Bartertown in a new Worldspace and the Mad Max assets already sounds great. My only suggestion is, to stick on that. Not necessary create entire australia or such. Or did I understand something wrong? Anyway. Good luck, hope this mod will be released some time.

as it stands making an entire continent full of rich tapestry and quest driven story could take a life time for 1 man so we are looking at a town so mainland quests , some schismatics huge new load outs of all new weapons including max gear and some totally unrelated. things need to be fresh and original. but still staying true to the max lore so made to compliment fallout universe and vise versa.

there will be some new world spaces along with Barter town and other memorable scenes added but please keep in mind large parts of the mod i am keeping strictly under wraps. there are going to be huge surprises. weather your a max fan or a fallout fan you are not going to want to miss this.

not to worries it is already much more then 1 city And there never was a team i tried and tried to get one going but alas it"s just me the solo max ola which is cool i like having full control of it's direction and so on.

I just know there are modders with much better skills then I at some things :)

Are you still working on it? I have been checking out the other Mad Max mods, and they're pretty small compared to what you proposed, but there hasn't been a post in months... Whats the status of the project?

Hey There! I was just here eating after playing F03 for hours and thinking that it would be so amazing to make a mad max mod for fallout 3 and decided to check online if it had been made Lol!! I then ended up here and wow!!! I cant beleive its actualy in the works, i love mad max so much i was gonna learn modding,scripting, and whatever is needed to get it going, i know such a huge mod could only mean years in the making as i have no modding skills whatsoever, i know how to mod my games like skyrim, oblivion and fallout 3 but actualy making a mod is something ive never done.I would love to join the effort to make this mod possible still, im not too sure what it is i could do but i know im a very creative person and have a great imagination, i would be also willing to learn modding to help on this mod all i can. id love to know what i could learn or do to actualy help with the mod. what is it you need? Looking at your mod i see their will be numerous road vehicules (cars) and i have this idea with the 18 wheeler there is in mad max, i would love to see that added to the mod if at all possible, i was thinking maybe have it so companions could ride on it with you and be able to shoot, have a flamethrower turret on the back on the trailer or minigun etc etc i know this sounds heavy but this is mad max not mario kart so yeah lol. i'm actualy excited about this haha! Ive played so many awesome quality mods and testing some even now and beleive in quality over quantity and would like to put the love i have for mad max into anything i do here. Maybe a could play test? thats something i could do i think, but id love to some more into it aswell. well hey with all that said, im giving you a thumbs up on this mod, amazing idea that will surely make a great mod for fallout 3 fans! Kudos to anyone working on this mod.
