senterpat
Hello, so I'm trying to make a section of a creature mesh semi-transparent, however I can only get it to render as solid, or completely invisible. Using different shades of grey in the alpha channel doesn't help, it just shows up solid if its closer to black, and clear if its closer to white. I've tried googling, but I can find a ton of people trying to fix a transparent texture problem, but no tutorials for it :/. If anyone can help me with making it render as semi-transparent, I would be much obliged.
jazzisparis
You need to attach an alpha property to the relevant NiTriStrips/Shape branch (right click > Node > Attach Property > NiAlphaProperty).
senterpat
I did do that, but that only allows it to be completely or not at all transparent, I can't seem to make stuff semi transparent. Edit: Got it working! I had to click on the flags in the alpha node and change the settings, worked fine after that. Thanks again Jazzis!
