The ending of the game

Retribution

Nothing confirmed as to who the character from origins will be. Tho my personal belief is leaning towards it being Alistaire. he shows up just too much in the trailer adverts. In a way tho, it kinda makes sense, since if you are the origins warden, you'll have another warden who you are familiar with, to have at your side. Or if you are the new warden it would allow you to have somebody who was there at the time to fill you in on data/information.

Some of the companions from Origins will be making appearances, but not on a permanent basis. I'm thinking that's why people have seen Oghren. Also, I was just watching the trailer for the Children again. I swear that I saw Loghain battling them. Tho that makes absolutely NO sense, as he hates the Orlesians with a fiery flaming passion, so I don't see why he would travel to Orlais. LOL tho, if I get the chance to kill him again, I dont think I'd pass it up! I can just imagine myself slamming an axe into his chest and roaring "Now STAY dead!!!"

Oh yeah, and from the looks of it, those infernal little bastich Children larva have that infernal Overwhelm. Blood and Ashes but I HATE that attack!

LOL Indeed. there are indeed so many possibilities. I think tho, that may actually be a good thing. It would give us the chance to go back, replay Origins making different choices, and then see how those different choices make the expansion behave differently.

Something to hold us over a little longer, until the sequel comes out next year.

What it says about the party disbanding. I've heard of endings where she does indeed travel with you for a while, but the two of you eventually part ways. Not sure, but I think it was something to do with her not wanting to see the warden become overwhelmed by the taint, when it comes time for the Calling.

But yeah, that does explain why most of them aren't permanent members in the expansion.

Hmmmmmm. VERY interesting. NICE find and share!

She's got the same hairstyle, but I dont see a whole lot of facial resemblance. That spell of her's with bringing the trees to life tho. That REALLY reminds me of Maric and Loghain's experience in Stolen Throne!

Description says that she's raised to be the second to her clan's keeper. So she's Elvish. Dalish. From the commentary about the "Merchants kidnapped my sister" it sounds like her clan got hit by a slaver raid?

LOL great...TWO angry party members to have to deal with. Time to sharpen my axe, methinks.

Anger towards humans sounds justifiable. We're not too popular with the dalish, and all things considered, they have the right to be.

Guess will just have to wait and see if she has a beef with wardens, and if so, why. Hurry up the 16th!

Just read the FAQ on Awakenings over at Bioware.

Read only if you want to know who returns and how romances are affected.

Awakenings FAQ

1.7 – If I had a romance in Origins, does it carry over into Awakening?

Romances do not carry forward in Awakening, because you are away from your previous life fighting a new threat.

1.8 – Who can I romance in Dragon Age: Origins - Awakening?

There are no romances options available in Awakening. The story is focused more on the mission at hand and the new threat to Ferelden.

1.9 – Which Dragon Age: Origins NPC will be returning?

Besides Oghren who plays a large role in Awakening, there are cameos and returning characters. For companions you'll potentially meet Loghain, Wynne, and Alistair depending on your decisions in Origins. In regards to NPCs, Master Wade and Herren reprise their roles, with Wade offering to make even more fantastical goods if the player brings his list of ingredients. Loghain's daughter, Anora, may also appear in Awakening depending on your choices in Origins. From David Gaider's novel "The Calling" - both the Architect and Utha are present in Awakening.

Just regarding those asking about the romances, by "not continue" it just means you don't have a chance to actively continue the relationship during the course of this adventure. It does not mean that you mysteriously broke up or that the romance is not recognized to exist. I would have liked to have cameos by everyone, but that simply wasn't possible. As it is, you may find some treats awaiting you -- recognizing past decisions can be done in small ways, as well as large (and this applies to things outside of romances, as well).

I kind of expected it. You are far too focused on restoring the Grey Wardens to think about romance. The sequel would be a far better choice to continue with the stalled relationship.
