ringosis
Any chance anyone could make a mod that removes the pointless camera restriction while using the isometric view. By pointless restriction I mean you can only pan the camera until the PC is at the edge of the screen, which makes no sense, seeing as your spells fire almost double that distance. Also any chance of allowing mousewheel zooming while in overhead view as well. I mean the absolute ideal would be to make 3rd person/overhead view a bindable toggle key and then have the mouswheel zoom in and out in either view from like an inch away from the character to maybe double what the zoom out level is now? Being able to have the PC on the screen and still be able to see enemies at max zoom level + inferno radius would be perfect.
Zefrim
+1 for this. I hate the fact that when I'm in isometric view, the camera will follow my characters around. I want it to stay where I put it!
ringosis
I hadn't thought of the tracking thing actually but yeah that's a very good point, it'd be really nice if only the third person view followed the NPCs while the Isometric view worked like an RTS camera, static unless moved with arrow keys or screen edges. Would be perfect if you could have a toggle key to lock the camera onto you're selected character. So yeah, that's the changes I'd be looking for in order of importance. Remove panning restrictions from Isometric modeIncreased zoom out distance for both modes (increased zoom in for Iso as well)Zoomable isometric modeToggle key to stop/start the camera following your characterToggle key between 3rd person and IsometricFPS mode? (just out of curiousity) Free cake to anyone who can do it.
ringosis
Bump? I can't be the only one who wants to play this with the old Infinity Engine view?
hevymac
Bump? I can't be the only one who wants to play this with the old Infinity Engine view? I neeeeeed this please. The current camera system doesn't seem to know what the hell it's trying to be, it's very frustrating. You'd have thought that the logical rout would be for a Buldur's gate-esk camera system. So don't worry, you're not the only one. I'm pretty certain that just about everyone who has played DA:Origins would find it an improvement over the current camera system.I also posted a request earlier in a different thread. Thanks :thanks:

ringosis
I can't believe no one has done this yet. It seems like the most obvious problem with the game to me.
Mondo
I don't see it as a problem, more of a bonus if we had it
ringosis
I don't see it as a problem, more of a bonus if we had it Well the biggest problem with it is using storm of the century. It's pretty hard to cast it in tactical view without hitting yourself with it. But really it's just annoying, you are forced into using third person view for long range fights.
