justinmob
I'm new to this but I've read a lot here and read the instructions on how to use the construction set on the construction set wiki. However, I'm trying to make some simple changes and they just aren't working. I'm sure that I'm just missing something simple, can anyone help? I open the construction set and go to File -> Data. I either select a current mod to make changes to and set it as an active file, or I've also just selected the esm file and saved it as a separate mod. Both do exactly the same thing. I then make two changes. First, I go to Gameplay -> Settings and change the encumbrance multiplier to 10. The weird thing about this all is that this change works. I go into the game and I can can carry 300 pounds instead of 150. So, I'm doing this right, at least. Second, I go to Character -> Race -> Woodelf. I really like Woodelves but I don't like their power. So, I delete the beast tongue power and put the Breton fortify magic ability in to the list. I then click ok, save the file, load oblivion, make sure that the file is checked, and load my game. The change to encumbrance works but not the change that I've made to race - the beast tongue spell is still there and I don't have the magika multiplier. The only mod that I'm using is Tweaked Generic Faces so that I can use Kafeids Kae (a saved game). These are simple changes that should work, I thought. Can anyone help? Jenrai
Not 100% sure here (without checking, not done any race modding myself) but I think you're actually only changing the NPC Elves there... I'm at work so I can't check it myself, but off the top of my head I believe player charectors and NPCs are in seperate locations... as I said, not 100% sure but it may be worth checking out. Jen You probably know more about this than I do, but I think it changes the race characteristics of everyone. At least that's what this seems to say: http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...eation_tutorial
