Panzer4
Whilst strolling along to Cheydinhal one day, I came upon a dead Imperial Guardsman lying beside her horse. The sun was shining and I was in a good mood so I resurrected her using the console. The last I saw of her she had mounted her horse and was riding off toward Imperial City. I went on my way and saw no sign of her on my return trip. A few days later, I was once again on my way to Cheydinhal when I spied her astride her horse on their side in the road. Thinking that they had both been slain this time, I approached them, clicked on her, and, to my surprise, she said, "Good day." They were both alive but horizontal. Not knowing what else to do to remove this now unseemly pair from the middle of the road, I resurrected her once again and then her horse. Unfortunately, the horse's legs immediately buckled beneath it and it crumpled once more to the ground. Undaunted, the guardsman mounted the horse horizontally and there they remained. I now suspect that I have offended the Oblivion gods by my original interference in the natural order of things and that I might have no other choice but to resort once again to the console and permanently remove them both from existence. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I might avoid such a drastic step?
DagonTheranis
Wierldy, if you kill the horse whilst the guard is mounted, they both do a death animation, but the guard still lives but can only move as an invisible ghost.
Panzer4
Wierldy, if you kill the horse whilst the guard is mounted, they both do a death animation, but the guard still lives but can only move as an invisible ghost. Interestingly enough, while returning from Bruma earlier today, I came upon a dismounted guardsman gliding along the road without moving his legs. It sounds as though his disorder might be similar to the one you describe but without the invisibility.
