How did this happen

will some one read the post in the regular tech support "How did this happen" If I have to reinstall what order do I use

1 original Oblivion disk

2. SI original disk

3.unofficial patch

4. official latest patch

 

When I uninstall won't all the MOD' files still be there? do I need to delete and reinstall them to.

 

PLEASE CAN SOME KIND SOUL HELP AN NON COMPUTER GUY

patience!!!! double and triple posting is not the answer.

the order you have is fine,also mods will have to be reinstalled to your game

I have been uninstalling/reinstalling Oblivion for several weeks due to the fact that I like using a lot of mods and I need to find the right balance. With that said, here is the order I follow:

 

1 original Oblivion disk

2. SI original disk

3. official latest patch

4. unofficial patch

 

You want to get Oblivion/SI up to official patch 1.2.0416 *BEFORE* you install any unofficial patches. And there are separate unofficial patches for Oblivion, SI, and the Official Mods.
