Okay this is kind of giving me a headache so was wondering if some audio buff can help me with some connection/cable setup. Here's what I got.

An Xbox (HDMI to TV)

PC (HDMI to TV)

For the Audio

When Xbox is used I got AV (Just the audio plugs) to a 3.5mm output to 2.1 PC speakers. When PC is used it goes 3.5mm to and from speakers to sound card.

Right now I have to manually swap the 3.5mm output cable to and from the PC/Xbox when I want to use either one. What I want to setup is like a central converter which will take RCA from the Xbox and 3.55mm from the PC and output to 3.5mm so that way I don't have to keep swapping them back and forth manually anymore. Now I do have the option of going digital optical from the Xbox and I could get a converter cable for the PC from 3.5mm to RCA if that would help.

In either case this is driving me nuts. I very much appreciate any and all help.

You can cross audio and video using two separate cables. HDMI carries the audio and video.
