Fellow Modders, I decree that there should be a contest to see who among you can truly earn and wear the title of {Elite Modelist}. For some time now many requests have been made on this and many other forums for specific items which no one has had the heart to make for no other reason than "clipping issues". Well now is the time!

 

Welcome to The Modeling Contest!

 

In this Contest there are 5 Categories:

 

1: Super Mutant-specific Armor and Weapons - Equippable and removable Armor and Weapons for Super Mutant usage only. Super Mutants from the west have better armor than the ones in the east. Let's try to bring that in. Also, seeing as they are so much bigger than humans, you'd think Super Mutants could carry 1 handed Mini Guns. Gigantic Behemoth guns stolen from decommissioned Navy Warships? Stolen and retrofitted Power Armor linked together with chains? As long as it can be seen as a viable part of the Fallout universe, it's a-ok.

 

2: Dogmeat-specific Armor and Weapons - Equippable and removable Weapons and Armor for Dog usage only. The more creative the better, but try to keep it within limitations where it could happen in the game with it's current Lore. e.g.; No Dogmeat firing Mini Nukes or Liberty Prime Lasers unless you can design a dog with a robotic feel to it. Perhaps try and recreate the robotic dogs from Fallout 2? Dog Power Armor? As long as it can be seen as a viable part of the Fallout universe, it's a-ok.

 

3: Wild Animal Armor and Weapons - Equippable and removable Weapons and Armor for Molerats, Yao Guai, or even Deathclaw usage only. Not much weaponry should be added seeing how lethal Deathclaws are already. Molerat Guards with armor and Flashlight Helmets for Little Lamplight? Deathclaws with some sharpened metal claws fitted over their hands? As long as it can be seen as a viable part of the Fallout universe, it's a-ok.

 

4: Robots, Androids, and Cyborgs, oh my! - Many Robots have been excluded from the game from Fallout 1, 2 and Tactics. Logic dictates that Behemoth Tanks should have been made standard issue, and that Factories had Loader Robots such as in Fallout 2. You'd think the Floating Eye, which was generally seen only in Vaults in Fallout 1 would have been a better addition to the Vault rather than a generic Mr. Gutsy. The Z.A.X. Computer from Fallout was reproduced? Sergeant RL-3 now has interchangeable arms when brought to a Robot repair station? As long as they can be imported from Fallout 1, 2, and Tactics, it will be accepted. And as long as it can be seen as a viable part of the Fallout universe, original content may be welcomed.

 

5: Gotta Pack it all - The Capital Wasteland certainly has alot of Metal Boxes doesn't it? Let's change that up a bit by adding new kinds of containers. Anything is welcome so long as it isn't something that couldn't survive 200 years of Nuclear Fallout. As long as it can be seen as a viable part of the Fallout universe, it's a-ok.

 

6: Oof this is heavy... - We've wanted them for a long time now yet have never seen results. "Too much coding." "Too hard" "Clipping Issues" Well it's time to finally add Vests and Backpacks into the game! Ranging from Bullet Proof Kevlar to Survival Camo Vests, and from plain School Backpacks to Army Issue Radio Backpacks of varying kinds, as long as it works and does not create clipping issues it will pass the test. Unfortunately, this particular category requires that a working ingame model be made. Sorry Modelers, you need to buddy up with Scripters.

 

You may submit as many entries as you like. Entries may be submitted until the end of December 2009. Entries not pertaining to the themes held here will be automatically rejected. Adult content may only be submitted with pre-approval. (Flamethrower Wangs or 12 breasts stuck on a Centaur will not be accepted.) Please note that full participation and teams of modders are more than welcome. Please note that this is a Modeling Contest. All you need to qualify are models. Should you be capable of texturing or even getting the model to work in the game, this will double or even triple your scores!

 

The reward for each category will be Bragging Rights, Fame, and Topless Women/(men? o-O)! Eh, good luck finding some of the last tho, cuz this contest will not provide them. ._.
