Retribution
I find it silly that in Dragon Age, you can't have a character that is strong in several areas. For instance, warriors have 4 weapon trees to choose from. Dual wielding, sword and shield, 2 handed blades, and archery. If we exclude dual wielding, because it's stupid, impractical, and never historically used, all of the weapon trees were ones in which knights from the middle ages excelled in. Knights knew how to use bows, longswords, and 2 handed swords, but in Dragon Age you can basically only max out one weapon. The same thing applies to rogues. Also, mages have too many spells to choose from. I'm requesting a mod that gives you 2 talent points each level instead of one. Some people would consider this cheating, but I wouldn't, as you can't use 2 different weapon types at the same time, and the passive bonuses for all classes are negligible. The talents also require specific amounts of an attribute, which would help balance it out. Thanks in advance.

I like the idea, I too hate the realisation that im basically useless at tanking once I've maxed my DW tree, even though obviously DW isn't meant for tanking. However i think that in order for this to work you would need to add a few more tiers to each tree, as most players would play the entire game using one style of weaponry, and they would undoubtably want more benefits from being a single-weaponed character as opposed to a hybrid. Also if you gave warriors 2 talent point, mages would also need 2 talent points.... and we all know what that would lead to mages being overpowered.......oh wait.... *realisation they are already OP* Oh, regarding the increasing talent point requirement, wouldnt that just once again leave you with 2 incomplete talent trees? Nogford
This is a bad idea. Dragon Age is not a historical simulator and the only vague similarity between Ferelden and medieval Europe are a few aesthetics inspired from history. Your character is not a medieval knight, and having the ability to be good at everything makes powers pointless. Character specialization adds variety and strategy, and increases the incentive to replay the game.
