ventisquear
I tried to follow Boodrl tutorial, but since that is apparently for people who already know how to do things in Blender, it wasn't very helpful so far. To be specific, I followed it to the end of the 2 part - I imported the mesh, and it got stuck behind or in front of the elf model. Boodrl starts to explain how to fix it, but then video suddenly ends and the next part starts with it already fixed. She only makes a brief comment about adjusting it to make it sit on the head. Yeah, but HOW do I do that? I rotated it and scaled it and moved it, and it now has the required shape and size... but it's still in front of / behind (I can never know how it will be imported) of the model's head. It never sits on the head. I'm pretty sure there is a very simple solution to this, but I spent hours and hours watching all tutorials I could find and trying to do things in blender... but it still doesn't work. Help? :D
Risibisi
Boodrl's tutorial ist the best which is available. I had no experience with any 3d programm. I've learned all basics about porting hair from this vid tutorial. She has made an old one but the quality (sound etc.) isn't very good. After you have imported the obj.Go in edit mode:You have first to mirror it on the global x and y axis.( that's e.g. necessary because otherwise your hair will float above the head). Then you go to the transform option (under mirror) and with those options you can adjust the hair on the head. You have just to move the mesh on the global x, y, z- axis up and down or scale it on the x,y.z axis etc. Sometimes this step is tricky and I need one hour to make the adjustment on the head. Hope this helps!
