WaltonsMountain
Maybe someone can point this out to me because I've just got a bunch of mods for FO3 but before I install I need some info on these programs.... FOMMArchiveInvalidation_InvalidatorFOSEFO3Edit Do I need all 4 of these programs to install my mods? Ive read on other forums that if you have FOMM you dont need ArchiveInvalidation...is that true? Not even sure what FOSE is all about but heard I might need it...same thing with FO3Edit. What's the 411 on these programs? If someone could clarify what these programs do I would be very grateful! :wallbash:
NailPeeler
Ok I will try to explain myself the best I can: - First of all Archive invalidation is a change in your .ini file of the FO3. There is a program that do this for you (toggle archive invalidation on/off) but FOMM also has a function that does the same thing. It basically allows the game to recognize texture changes and stuff. - FOMM. It´s a mod manager (Fall Out Mod Manager) which allows you to activate/deactivate mods. It also allows to put them in load order. You will need both of the previous stuff to run your mods. - FOSE is a program which allows the game to use advanced scripting. Used by many mods. - FO3Edit is for obtaining codes for your modding. I hope I´ve helped.

I guess my only question now is if FOMM has a function that does the same thing as ArichiveInvalidation_Invalidator (as you stated in your post) do you I really need ArchiveInvalidation anymore?
