Bahalan
I have discovered my doormarker problem! It was hidden in the blue things surrounding the starter ship. My lates mod, House in a Bottle, is proof of this. It is a good mod, nd open for expansion, so please give me some feed back. Now, when you say stritfoward, you mean exactly that. It got really simple when i (Finally!) found the door tab. I really made myself proud with my Bottle house mod. I attached it with this post, so please feel free to test it. ixnos
I've found that writing yourself a "to-do" list makes more things alot more clearer so when explaining it people can catch the idea almost instantly such as at the moment I have 2 lists...a "done" list and a "to do" list done: landscaped a remote island in the bitter coast region stacked several hlaalu buildings in rows to create an "archway" effect which they will later become 2 long houses with two floors added a hlaalu building with observatory and a few "historical" dwemer weapons re-landscaped the island to look more "jagged" created own race, filled in their background, gave them spells/abilities and balanced their attributes and bonuses to-do: interiors for houses on the island connect the island with the main island...possibly relocate it add books to deepen created race vary the races for choice add nature to the island add faction for created race including quests with new weapons and armour I only started this lot Tuesday and had to teach myself how to use the CS again...once you get the hang of it the CS is easy to use just hope the oblivion is near enough the same then maybe I'll be able to give the public mods that I've been trying to make for the last several years
Alanador
Hi Bahalan, everyone. Seyda Neen has an expansion available (been out for sometime now)...the mod that I have added a huge waterfront dock system, added I think like 5 ships, that could all fast travel to different places. The city got one new block (like additional 5 or 6 buildings, & with the available Petshop mod another building was added as well) off to the left after crossing over the bridge. I do not believe that this expansion added any quests. Perhaps if your idea incorporates quests and or story lines you could incorporate them into that mod (if the mod author was in agreement), thereby killin two birds with one mod. Just an idea. Actually, I just pulled up my collection of Morrowind mods and it seems that my dock mod that I spoke of is three mods combined by one guy...so you can see from that example that three modders have contributed to the project now. It may be a better yet idea to grab that mod and further tweak that since much of the graphical work is done. Here's the three mod's and author's so you can search for it. Their project began in 2003 and the last update I have is from 2004 (06-02-04) and does require Tribunal but not Bloodmoon. Here's the titles: "Seyda Neen Docks" (up to version 6) author unknown (not sure of his total contributions but he credits the two mods he started with as follows) "Seyda Neen Expanded" by _Strider_"Skeledale House" by The Merry Piper I highly recommend you play these and see what has been done, maybe if nothing else it'll help give you some ideas. neroli
I'd agree with most of the previous posts, but for an easy beginners house creation, try Genmod, it does the basic stuff for you , although its essential to do a fair bit of editing . I think it only does interiors.
Humblie
well if your still looking for some help i find building in the CS quite easy actually but im afraid thats all i can do i have no idea how to script but theres a few tutorials so i could learn and same goes for quests scripting as thats pretty much the same. ive never actually released a mod but ive tried completeing a few and done a few small ones for myself. stuff im cabable of doing is making interiors and exteriors shaping the landscape etc ive made new weapons and armor and stuff for myself from the basic models. (combined different meshes etc, some looked pretty cool.) but if your still looking just reply or something and ill email you. :D
