dscbfakfhsgf Posted April 28, 2014 Share Posted April 28, 2014 I just signed up for an account on the nexus, and every time i attempt to download a mod it wont add the download. it just closes the window and does nothing. That is my major problem, but my secondary issue is that i have no idea how to mod a game on steam, i think i figured it out but have no idea what file to choose in order to add a mod. bben46 Posted April 28, 2014 Share Posted April 28, 2014 If you are going to use the Nexus Mod Manager, you MUST download and install it first in order to use the 'download with manager' method work. Please read the instructions on the NMM download page.Nexus mods do not work the same as the Steam workshop - we have been doing this a lot longer than steam. The old way was to download manually - in order to use that - all you need to download (NOT install) is a place to put you downloads - Most browsers have a default location that will work. Then to install, you will have to read the instructions provided in the mod read me - as not every mod installed the same way. Most just say to extract the mod directly into the data folder - however to do this you will need to get and learn to use an unzipping program ( simple to do) the best in my opinion is the completely FREE 7-zip - available here http://www.nexusmods.com/oblivion/mods/15579/? be sure to actually read the documentation first.
