Fort Death is an ongoing mod made completely by two people. Me, Ranokoa, and vicICE (pronam). For a while we took a break after releasing a BETA, but now since I am back the mod has woken up and needs to be finished. You can view FULL details about it at this link:

Question Details:

Question One: There will be a 2 more locations to teleport two. One is a secluded island, and the other is somewhere else in Cyrodiil which is also to be secluded, most likely FAR above the surface of the earth. The island location is not up to question, but we do not know where the cyrodiil one should be. This is up to you.

 

Question Two: There are going to be many optional plugins once we are done, worked out over the course of time, however, a lot of these will not be done quickly. Most new room ideas are going to be optional plugins, but we want to make the base mod have two new rooms that were optional plugin ideas. Which two rooms should we add that will be part of the main esm? Please choose two.

 

Question Three: The new island which the fort can go to, which is seperate completely from cyrodiil, will have a very small number of inhabitants absalutely needed for storyline. We were planning on putting a small village that has been destroyed and abandoned inside the town for lore. However, we haven't decided if we should put a second, small town with a merchant, weaponsmith and few others or not. It can go in one of three ways

 

1: There is a small town seperate from the abandoned town on the small island with a small polulation ranging from 5-10 people, including weaponsmith for repairs and small weapon dealings, skooma dealer, armor and clothing vendor, general merchandise vendor, and soulgem vendor with special soulgems (Hopefully we can get a new model to fit lore).

2: There are small number of inhabitants spread out in a small farm, inhabitated cave or two, a shack here or there. Ranging from 3 to 6 people.

3: The island is decolate and devoid of all life save the absalute essential for questline. The needed people will be in a cave far to the side of the island and out of general view. The island is completely yours without the feel of having to share it with its population.

 

In all three scenerios you absalutely own the island, in the abandoned broken down town there is really nothing except for a few nice little goodies left behind. Your fort actually travels here so you have a place to stay all the time. There is going to be one small home that looks the least destroyed, a farmish home, lower class with middle class to lower class interior, that has a bed and other essential of a home that you can use and is player safe if you feel like getting away from the fort. All the scenerios will have every kind of merchant, just differently. The absalute essential people will be the vendor all people if the island is desolate, the spread out small number of inhabitants will share vendor abilities, or of course the town in itself will have the vendors. The advantage of having the town is you get to have NPC's that are just there for feel. The advantage of spread out is you still get those vendors realistically but the island is more yours with less people to clutter it. The advantage of being desolate is you don't have to look for the right vendor, its all the same person, which is the essential questline person.

 

The difference really is realism with vendors and choice of how you want to view your island. It is more realistic to have the merchants and vendors be specific with their trade in a town or even spread out than it is to have the questline essential NPC to be able to trade absalutely everything.

 

 

 

 

Background:

Since I have returned and want to work on Fort Death again I've come to the conclusion that almost everything that I personally want in the mod is almost all there. The mod is open to suggestion and requests, but there are already planned features that we only know of the idea of it we want. We do not know, or really we have not yet decided upon, specific details about these certain things. This has been the case since the begining so as not to overload ourselves with hopes that may crash, and to keep a realistic mind.

 

There are three new features that we are definetly going to put in, and we have decided already upon execution and functionality but have yet to 100% be conclusive about detail. THIS is where this poll comes in. Since i cant put a poll (to my knowledge) in the other forum topic, and to keep things less cluttered and easier to track, i have made the poll here where YOU, the public, can decide upon the crucial details of new awesome features or improvements!

 

the answers are the potential things to be done, and quite frankly, what we are willing to do. But since we are willing to do so many things but can only really do one or two of them we let the decision go to the community. All questions are multiple choice, if you can't decide upon one or the other choose both, but please think hard and try to choose the one you want MOST only.

There is already a Torture Chamber and an Execution Chamber. As far as i remember the Execution chamber is complete in functionality and only needs cluttering and decor, but the Torture Chamber is in need of massive rescripting and script fixing... i kinda broke that room after i made it lol. But as far as a room to just spawn and kill, nothing like that is in.

 

Please visit the other forums or even the file page by searching Fort Death on tesnexus.com. This is a VERY large prison/home/teleporting/quest related/feature girlfriend/ storage facility/ a bunch of things/ Fort mod. You can imprison people in here, kill them in several different ways or whatever please you. Teleport the tower in its entirety to different locations around cyrodiil and.. well just read the other forums lol. I just woke up so i may digress too much and forget which thread im on.

You are not to the liking of Fort Death? The whole fort's history, lore, and intent in several meanings is all about merciless death and torture. What did you have in mind? Personally I am very much to the liking of the current name (thank god it wasnt taken already :) ) but if you have something that you would prefer to see be my guest :) This forum thread is specifically meant for suggestions and requests about the mod itself. I am always open to new ideas.

I agree i think that the fort should have an orignal name like aegis or trebetcha and then it be renamed after some horrible incident that happened there... any way it looks good so far.

 

P.s. Once your done with this would you like to work on another large mod?

Actually in lore wise there will be an original name. I haven't given it much thought as of yet though. 20 seconds of first thinking of this mod i came up with an entire history that would take me an hour to type down. All rough and farely undetailed as it needs more thinking but the general idea of what happens when and junk is already all thought of. I have not gotten to the lore part of this mod yet because i wanted to finish everything else, THEN i will write the books, the papers, the journal enteries, give suttle hints of past events, make small secret closets and cave enterances that are hard to find that have absalutely no use except to further expand the idea and lore of fort death to give evidence of past events. I may even give it an ironic name, like Fort Not Death, or something a bit better, like Fort Hope (if thats not already a fort name lol). Idk, something to make it give the look that the fort itself was meant for something different than what its known for, until a tragic event when the thinker of the history thought of a way to slaughter everything and everyone by the discovery of coveted limitless power and.. hmm.. maybe i should stop there im about to go spoiler alert myself on things already in the beta lol.

 

Most every room, every feature, every everything will have a historical purpose and some lore when i finally get around to it. But thanks for the comments because since its been so long since i originally thought of fort death there were details i might forget to do such as original fort names and crud. This, being a more recent reminder, will help me to keep that in mind.

No thats quite alright. I am kinda good at things like this. I already know the entire general idea of what i want, and that alone will take a long time to put on paper, but to come up with the details is something i must do myself as i know exactly where to go with it. Just typing continuously and getting the information down is something i am used to and something that i just have the ability to do. I type fast and generally when i start it all just kinda flows out and things fall into place. This is how i opperate, and it is how i really piss of my teachers when i have something that must be done on the computer. I love to turn simple 2 line answers into 5-7 pages long in small text, 1 space. I just let it flow and what comes out is generally smoothe. I love it too cause i make it so that the entire BOOK i write for a small answer actually is technically the answer no matter how much it digresses. Ahh, the good times. Anyways, point being, when the time comes it will be rather easy and enjoyable for me to do.

 

For the most part everything that i have thought up of for a history in general idea of it is mostly unneeded and will not see the light of day to be typed down. Only the relevant sections will. my mind loves to digress from subject to subject and or continue a subject past the point of relevance (more or less what im doing now but to a much larger extent) so for what i have already thought up of less than half of it is needed for the mod.

 

Long story short, and sorry for typing too much, it is something i must do, something that when i do it will be enjoyable, and something that will not be a burden or hard for me to do.
