TheRealZandrake
I made a ballistic weapon that fires a missile, and I've increased all the range values I've found to ridiculous amounts. However, no matter what I do, when I launch the missile over a great distance there's a certain point that when it goes beyond it the projectile just simply passes through the terrain and disappears, there is no impact. I'd like to know if there's any way to stop this from happening.
ecksile
Not that i know of. The way fallout3 handles terrain is it loads in cells. So your really just in one cell at a time not the entire world space. So once the projectile leaves the cell space that is loaded it just kinda goes off into blank space because there's nothing loaded there. U follow? The only thing i can think of is to make the engine load more space per cell, but the more you load the higher the chance for crashes and stuttering. Also if you do have it load more per cell its only gonna effect "your" computer so the problem will still exist for people who don't have the game set to load as much space as you do. That is if you release the mod. Someone correct me if I've given out any false info.
TheRealZandrake
Interesting, that makes perfect sense. How would I go about altering such a thing though?
