im thinking of wipin the hard drive, and installing windows vista.

 

maybe if i wipe it fully, it will work ¬_¬

downloaded Game Booster, and on fallout 3 my game ran at ultra settings with 800x600 res fine, with lower lag.

 

i think its due to the system processes takin up processing power.

 

ill install vista anyway to clear those un necessary processes.... plus its high time to upgrade =P

Processing power being used up? You sure that maybe you aren't over-using the CPU or something?

well guys just back, and now on vista =)

 

formatted hard drive, installed all required drivers, and re-installed oblivion. gonna fire the mods through, then give it a shot.

 

@ jaosals42 - iv never overclocked my CPU, and yesterday i re-applied thermal paste to the cpu/heat sink (making sure to remove all former traces!)

 

the cpu temps fine, and in task manager the cpu usage is roughly under 5-10%
