TheAlmightyOS
I am making a spreadsheet of all the companions and their various S.P.E.C.I.A.L stats, TAG skills and, from that, their base Skill Levels, hit points, level based on PC level, even how many skill points they should have per level. I am doing this for a variety of reasons. Mostly research for a possible mod. I am getting most of my data and formulas from gamepedia and the fallout wiki. But they are leaving a bunch of data out and my google foo is failing me. Primarily, How does the game decide to use skill points for the companions? Does it just distribute them among the Tagged skills or do the other skills get a boost too? How is it calculated? Anyone know this? Also, I am trying to figure out both DAM and DPS based on Weapon base damage so I can test out how a companion will do with a specific weapon. The formula I pulled from the wiki (ranged weapons) is DAM=BASE(50+SKILL*0.5/100). The result is astronomically off. According to that formula Boone should be able to kill a Mother Deathclaw with a single shot from a BB Gun. (EDIT) ok, so I messed up typing the formula in excel. I had 5 instead of 0.5. However, it is still off by a long shot. Now I am getting a Total Damage that is well below the weapons base damage. Thoughts, ideas, solutions?
