Sharkull Posted November 28, 2009 Share Posted November 28, 2009 I kill Clanfather Malifant, he resurrects (with the help of the shocking statues), and I kill him again. After that his corpse is left with the shock visual effect, and I can't activate his dead body like normal (for looting). Is this programmed / intended behaviour, or something I should troubleshoot as a bug? UESP pages for Ebrocca and Clanfather Malifant don't say anything about this behaviour. PC, GotY with the applicable unofficial patches installed. TIA:) Edit:Strange... I deactivate the Unofficial Shivering Isles Patch and I can loot his corpse. :\ I guess the bug fix for the doors not opening on a revisit screwed this up. In the USIP, the XPEbroccaBossSCRIPT omits the line where a flag (set resurrectOnce to 1) is set, and that flag is what's used to turn off the shock effect and allow the corpse to be activated. I made a little mod fix (putting the line back where it originally was while leaving the USIP change alone), which seems to work. If anyone is interested, let me know and I'll upload it. I tried disabling USIP but that didnt work so I tried adding in the missing line but everytime I try to save it the CS crashes. :( If you could upload your fix I'd be very thankful. This part of the dungeon has been nothing but trouble. I even have to use the console to find the guy!! I'm now wondering if the two problems are related...
