im2fuzzy
i have had this problem only with this part of the program, and i have run it under goty, prior versions, on different directories, used mod and game enhancers such as boss, omod, and wrye bash! but it is always the same. i get octo to start his speach to martin, and as an added effort i have even tried to do it with and without the dialog showing! it too stops at the same place every time with three dots during octo's statement that martin should proceed to light the dragon fires! not sure what is said after that being that it computer scene stops there! i get no further sound, no further dialog, and i can look up down and all around, but can not move in any direction. after a bit both martin and octo look at me as if i am suppose to be doing something, but of course i can not :-(. any ideas as to what i might try next?? this is the only part of the game that i have not been able to complete so far! and it is a bit of a let down at that LOL. thank you in advance and look forward to hearing what you may have to suggest!! j
bben46
I had the exact problem the first time I played through. I don't remember exactly what fixed it. I think it may have been the unofficial Oblivion patch. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5296 I found it - here is a note from the Oblivion Wiki on known problems fixed by the Unofficial Oblivion Patch. * In the Light The Dragonfires quest (climax of the Main Quest) the player will no longer get stuck in cutscene mode forcing a reload if the door to the Imperial Palace Council Chambers is closed when Martin meets with Ocato. So, either make sure the door is not closed, (not sure how to do this) or install the Unofficial Oblivion Patch.
