Oh, Ok. Thanks Vagrant. I guess I must have been playing Morrowind too much lately and got my magnitudes confused. I've been in the habit of using black gems for everything for so long that I tend to ignore the others.

my advice is lvl up the alteration its easy just get a open very easy magic or get the 1 in bruma's mage guild the guys that asks for the book in oorder to tell u the whereabouts of the missing guild member. now select the mag and get close to any public crate,chest,barrel cupboard any of these aim at it and put something on the spell casting key of ur keyboard with enought weight to keep it pressed, u can leave it like that after a few min when u come bk it would had lvl up the alteration u can keep doing it till u master it. this works cuz this particular mag skill only need a small bit of mana and ur mana prolly regens faster that u use it so u can use this mag endless times. my char is up to a point where he can use the "Master Key" (a skill i created that opens very hard locks) endless times :thumbsup:

oh ye now just buy a water breathing spell u dont need much a cheap 1 will do. cuz since ur alteration skill is all the way to master all the alteration skills asks less mana to cast so u can use it as many times u want. if...for some reason the spell still takes some considerable amount of mana let ur char run out of breath and cast the spell this way while the mana regens ur using ur breathing and while the spells takes effect u regain breathing. :wallbash: sorry im talking too much
