Hopefully you won't need searched "thouroughly".

Maybe the smell of weed is relative but to me it smells unique. I don't believe it has anything to do with tobacco though.

Cannabis Sativa, or commonly known as Marijuana, where “some people” use for smoking, chewing, eating and even use as food ingredients which in the process creates hallucinogenic and intoxicating effect is in itself a potent drug (compared to many other medicinal herb). Many people suffering from Multiple Sclerosis (a central nervous system disease) claim that Marijuana provides symptom relief when all other medications fail. Moreover, it provides Delta-9 Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is a very good agent for improving appetite. Needless to say, it creates initial boost of temporary mental stimulation, Keenness of the senses, and even the feeling of pleasant tranquility. (very fascinating, I might add).

However, a regular user who become psychologically dependent to “Mary Jane” will start to develop: mental confusion, acute panic reactions, irrational anxiety, fear, and even loss of self control. And like alcohol, too much acquaintance with MJ will soon result to distortion of memory, problem of speech, and even comprehension. Then sooner or later a new personality will emerge called “amotivational syndrome” which is characterizes by a person’s passivity to everything other than the preoccupation of taking the drug.

So I don’t think a wise decision will take Mary Jane as his/her partner in life.

Well, these ideas are common in fact, you open some encyclopedias (specially medical ones) then you got it.

As to the evidence, I have few of my cousins, one of them in the rehab, and eight did not finish their studies because of Mary Jane which later on further upgrade themselves into high level drugs (e.g. Cocaine).

Each time we (my family) visit these relatives, we really find it hard to mingle with them, - it seems we are the ones who are out of place. They really isolated themselves from the rest of our clan. And while observing them, those statements I mentioned above are certainly true, even worst. I pitied them. And I blame these drugs and those people (illegal drug dealers) who continue these nasty business for PROFIT sake.

I hope i've answer your question.

It's like a cigarette and a hard drink in one...... It's just as unhealthy as those two things imply.

Should it be legal? Yes. The government (american) would make all kinds of tax money from it's sale, but it should have restrictions similar to cigs and alcohol. Also, it's use should be prohibited in public, to avoid second hand stoners.

1. these are common ideas/theories, not common fact ;), a difference...

2. might it have been that your cousins never really liked their studies or the subject as a whole but never knew? or maybe they were afraid of failure in the face of your "clan" and the isolation gave em the room to do their own? maybe they were simply too dumb... tho i must admit ive seen total mentals getting their degree lol

3. maybe they isolated themselves because the "clan" annoyed them with the constant bickering about their habits?

4. cocaine? well many reasons to take that none of which includes weed but sex, stress, party, etc

Well, I've had my first bad experience with weed. Long story short, I accidentally put the stuff in the plastic tube, instead of my ratchet piece. Ruined the apparatus, inhaled a lot of plastic fumes. Instantly got rid of my high.

Teaches me to be more careful with it.
