GDisciple
When you purchase a Premium account, I recall the form saying that use of Accelerators and Download Managers was allowed. I've been attempting to use Bitcomet (my internet has frequent drops during downloads that Bitcomet handles) and no matter what I download, all I get is the download.php file for the website. Is there any way to fix this so that I can actually download the file instead of the page? (The same problem occurs when I try to use Firedownload, a plugin for Firefox). buddah
While the use of accelerators and download managers is available it only functions on the premium only servers. There is one of these for each site. It is also should be mentioned that not all of them are supported....so some may work and some may not. I haven't used the ones mentioned, but have used fdm and dta (a firefox plug in)...with no problems. So I can suggest this you have to get through to the actual download link, if it is for larger files [over 2megs]you have to select a server if you right click on the server and copy the link and manually add it to your download manager it should work. This is an actual download for a premium server from tesnexus: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/dl.php?fs=fi...bDEMO-28488.rar Use the add url function on you manager and see if it works. I have used DTA for firefox almost exclusively for some time on the premium servers with noproblems. Accelerators are a waste for me due my connection speed, as I actually work for my ISP....and they have a way of defeating them to prevent abuse. So on this issue I am somewhat unsure. But again only the dedicated premium servers will support them. Hope this helps. Buddah
GDisciple
Thanks, I'll experiment with this and edit in my update later. EDIT: I took a quick look at firefox add ons and found a plug-in called "DownloadThemAll" and I assume that's what you meant by DTA. It's working great, although my other managers aren't, so I guess I'll just stick to this one. Thanks for your help!
