Synaptiq
Only reference to this bug I've found so far was someone reporting it on PS3, but now I seem to have it on PC, so wondering if anyone else has encountered it as I can't find any search references to it. At the end of the game, it goes to credits and then main menu, rather than continuing like its supposed to. Now, those listing this bug on the PS3 said apparently a 'new game' will fix it, as it might be associated to having loaded the DLC in the middle of a game play already, but does anyone know if there's any other way around this? Gishank
First things' first, make sure you have at least patch 1.
Synaptiq
Yeah I should probably note that I've been through hoops of fixes and updates in my one other topic, lol. I'm at 1.7, no mods except the official DLC's, all of them, and set in the proper order via FOMM, also setup with the pseudo patching via FO3Edit, etc etc. :P
csb
First, kudos for using FO3Edit! It's an almost must-have utility for resolving mod conflicts. (As well as a must-have for modders cleaning up their mods before posting them on Nexus ... sorry, almost got sidetracked into a soapbox rant  .) Second, regarding patches ... ensure that the 1.7 patch is installed. This fixes a few things overlooked in 1.6 (obviously, lol). If you are using a custom race (playing as Raider, Ghoul, etc. or any of the downloadable custom races), you will need Custom Race Endings Broken Steel OverRide (CREBSOR). Synaptiq
Lol you forget that everything I just said was basically because of you anyways I got FOMM and FO3Edit cause you suggested it, and indeed that along with the DLC's originally stabalized my game greatly, but as I noted still no mods, well at that time. I did however get a bunch of texture based mods now, no esp's, decided to simply start over fresh now so. Here's to hopes that it works at the end of this run through, lol. csb
 I have half-heimers, I think. Some quick tips:When installing a new mod that is a "replacer" for textures/meshes, click the "Toggle invalidation" button in FOMM twice when you start up. Then close FOMM and restart. The first click is to disable and the second to re-enable archive invalidation. For some reason, there are times when properly-installed textures/meshes don't show, even with it enabled already. So now I just do it as a matter of course when installing new resources into Data's sub-directories. If my hazy memory serves me right (no bets there!), I read that either in a readme file or in a Nexus post. I'm not sure if it is a bug or just me, but it works! There are BS-related posts that list a lot of things that others have tried. Can't hurt to do a Search and look at what others have done. Since I haven't had that problem in the three times I've gotten to that point, I can't offer any first-hand advice.Try installing CREBSOR anyway, even if not using a custom race, the recompiled script of this mod just might solve the ending issue. It will let the vanilla races continue on as before and will give you the option to use a custom race your next time through.Always re-run FO3Edit after installing any mod with a plug-in (or plug-in/master). Add to your merge patch as necessary. Follow up by ...Run FO3Edit in Master Restore mode and then again in Master Update mode. This rebuilds all the ONAM record references and goes a long way in making Fallout 3 less crash-prone.Hope this helps!
Synaptiq
Yeah, got all that, so far its running fine, the only CTD issue I had so far was during the baby walking sequence, for some reason any time I got too close to the bible quote frame it would lock up, so I just stood on the other side of the room while he talked about it, lol. Been alright so far since.

Must be birthing pains or something. The important thing is that you found a way around the issue and get to move on and enjoy the game. Synaptiq
Back to BSOD's : ( I always get an x7E BSOD in lines of nv4_disp driver, only ever with Fallout 3 though, sadly x7E covers a dozen+ different potential issues, so its not really helping any. I've tried various drivers, and the heat is fine, I've been keeping the temp logging and its not getting anywhere near thermal spec, driving me bonkers though. CTD's I can deal with, I can restart the game instantly really, but BSOD's suck
