jake264 Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 I want to get back into the wasteland after a long time away. I used to play xfo and enjoyed it but it does not seem to be updated anymore so I thought I'd try some different stuff. I lined these up the best I knew how but the game won't play like this, please tell me what's incompatible or how I have to change the order. Thanks. csb Posted December 1, 2009 Posted December 1, 2009 To help with mod conflict detection and resolution, you'll want to get ElminsterAU's must-have FO3Edit utlity. Then get Miax's great FO3Edit Guide - Web-enized to learn how to use it to find and eliminate potential game-stopping conflicts. Using Timeslip's Fallout Mod Manager (FOMM ... another must-have utility if you don't have it already) to adjust load orders and FO3Edit to resolve conflicts will go a long, long way in making your FO3 gaming experience less crash-prone. As far as realism mods go ... go get Arwen's Realism Tweaks. Her work is a superb balance of gameplay and imersion/realism. You're also welcome to try my Weighty Matters mod and my Just Say No mod. Combined with Arwen's tweaks and links to other realism/immersion mods I give, you'll get the most immersive and challenging Fallout3 experience possible. Definitely not for the faint-of-heart or uber-gear lovers.
