Spiralunix
I am attempting to make my first quest mod, it's really a very simple 3 stage quest. The few tutorials out there haven't been able to help me with an issue that I have run into. I have followed all 3 existing tutorials out there that I have found on quest making, yet I cannot get the quest related dialogue that I have added to show up in the list of topics. I have tried scripting it in, but I guess I am doing it wrong. To me, learning scripting is like learning a new language, and I just am not understanding how to do certain things right so quickly. I did figure out how to script it so that the first journal update for the quest will pop up, however the second and third part of the quest rely on certain added dialogue to be said in order for the quest to progress to the next stage, and when that will not show up that is a problem. It's not exactly easy for me to ask for help and I have tried asking a few people who are already in my friends list... but I do really want to finish this mod and release it for people to enjoy. Please, I just need someone who is pretty experienced with scripting and creating quest, and who is willing to take aside the time and would not mind helping me figure this out. I will email my esp to you so that you can have a look and see what the problem is.
Vagrant0
In the quest topics, do the dialogues you want used have conditions which point to the specific NPC that you want the dialogue to be spoken by?http://cs.elderscrolls.com/constwiki/index...gory:Conditions In this case, probably 2 conditions for each dialogue. no | isactor | <Actor> | == | 1no | getstage | <quest> | == | <Stage you want the dialogue to be available> You should also make sure that you are adding the topics to the player with addtopic somewhere within the quest, npc, or dialogue scripting. Yup, done both of those, but thanks! Someone has directed me to another tutorial that may help me from the main oblivion website too, I guess I will look around on there for more tutorials. if it doesn't help I'll just have to finish the quest w/o the added dialogue.
