loveadrianalima
Hello everyone. I'm new to this whole modding thing. I love Oblivion and recently got the collectors edition, and now i want to start adding mods to expand the game. i don't know much about doing all of that though. its not the downloading and installing im having trouble with. i guess its just finding all of the major ones that are needed to run many of the other smaller mods. are there any recommended ones that are any better than the others? i just bought a new gaming rig that will handle almost anything so i wanted to make full use of it by getting improved textures and stuff like that. i just needed some help from you guys that know what your doing. what mods can i get that will be able to handle all (or some) of the major mods out there. links would be especially helpful. and any other advice you have for this noob would be very helpful. lol thank you guys very much

DEJAKKEL
You could get better cities by banana split. Its a fantastic mod, but lots of requirements. Common Oblivion is a good one, and you need it to use better cities. Midas magic is a good one too. You should take a look around the top 100. Aside form the occasional nude mods (I don't care much for them) they have some amazing mods.
loveadrianalima
Have several listed in this thread. http://thenexusforums.com/index.php?showtopic=166023 Thanks for the link. this is proly a stupid question but are all of these mods compatible with each other? i know that some say that if you have "soandso" mod installed it might cause problems. is it the programing or just that most computers cant handle all the graphics. my new comp will run crysis in the highest resolution flawlessly. so i dont think ill have a problem there. again thanks for all your help guys. and feel free to leave links to your favorite mods. :)

It's by no means an end-all, definitive list of mods, but should serve as a good sampler of what mods are out there for deciding future installs. Just keep in mind that if you decide to change any of the base mods, you may have to start a new game. You could probably add some of the more popular quest mods, like: lost spireshttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=12997 ruined tail's talehttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3027 elsweyrhttp://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25023 if so desired without too many problems. Just be sure to double check the description and comments for any hints of compatibility issues.
ptbptb
Thanks for the link. this is proly a stupid question but are all of these mods compatible with each other? No. Which is why you might want to look at the article I've written recently. All the mods shown are those I'm currently using together. I also included a .zip file with detailed installation instructions and .omod conversion data. http://www.tesnexus.com/articles/article.php?id=321 I don't claim that these mods are the best or only choice, but they are suitable for new players and for people with less than brilliant graphics cards. P.S. Feedback and assistance in improving content welcome.
