Missing Mesh

I have like over 80 mods installed, but only few are major graphical changers... the ones that I'm using that are major are

Qarl's Texture Pack III Redimized, and the redimized patch

Unofficial oblivion patch

Unofficial shivering isles patch

Unofficial oblivion mods mods patch

operation optimization (not quite sure what that does)

FCOM convergence

animated windows lighting and chimneys

better cities

improved signs

real lights

that's all.....please tell me if anything here may be incompatible or give me a proper installation order that wont override or delete meshes - the meshes that i noticed were missing was on a small house in bravil docks called Kashmir's Fresh Fish....there's a link below for a picture download (i hope it still works)

thanks, http://www.megaupload.com/?d=M149NU83

There's a dozen or so mods that are "merged" with the bash patch so they don't appear on my load order list...but since they are properly merged they shouldn't be doing any harm...but check out the others I have...maybe they are causing a problem.

Find what mod the missing mesh belongs to. Refscope is a good tool to use for this. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=21862

Once you have identified the mod, you can look to see where the meshes and textures for that mod were placed, and place them in the proper place if wrong.

If this doesn't help You will have to start removing mods to see which one it is. I recommend starting by removing Deadly Reflex and streamline. Both of these cause strange problems sometimes. Streamline because it changes your graphics settings on the fly as you play. Deadly Reflex because it changes so many things in the way the game works. (including graphics)

The real cause is probably batch loading mods. Anytime you load a bunch of mods without testing between each, you run the risk of this kind of problem. The time you think you saved by loading a bunch at once is more than lost in troubleshooting the problems it caused. Just one obscure mod with a dirty reference can make the meshes from a totally unrelated mod, or even a vanilla texture glitch.

hmmm i'll give that a shot and get back with you, i've reinstalled oblivion maybe 30+ times experimenting with different mods, but I don't have that many crash issues and what not with what i have goin on now...just some missing meshes which is what irritates me cause i thought i finally installed it correctly

how can I fix better cities meshes?

Your choices are limited to downloading a fresh copy of the mod and either uninstall/reinstall (the mod) or extract it to a temp file and start combing over the file structure to find the missing files by process of elimination.

did they make the mistake by leaving out that mesh?

There could be a few reasons for a missing file:

1) Corrupted file during DL

2) YOU overlooked a mesh or 2

or

3) The author DID forget a file

I'll redownload it, though I don't believe the download was corrupted...but I guess it's worth a shot...thanks
