Jitansgate
GECK won't let me change Weapon Damage or place Ammo or Items where ever i want without creating a plugin, i used to beable to change weapon damage and place ammo and items where ever i wanted without having to make a Plugin on Windows 7 only reason i upgraded to Win8 was because my HDD died and stores stopped selling Win7.Any help or fix would be appreciated. Purr4me
You must set the plugin your working on as active, this has never changed. i used to be able to change weapon damage and place ammo and items where ever i wanted without having to make a Plugin on Windows 7Makes absolutely no sense at all, you must have an active plugin to save any changes in this software. So I will take this as a mistaken post. Any thing different ? then no one will help you.The nature of the beast is it's an editor, as an editor, you have to have an active plugin too save. Which means, you have NOT activated any. make your changes, then allow it to create a plugin so you have the data saved ,then you can merge that into the original or just plain use it as a patch for your changes.kinda hard not too have one.kitty. Purr4me
thee is no way to bypass the creation of making a plugin. Not with the geck. and did not misread anything.Tell ya what, you post in a document and send it to me as to which mod and which data you desire and I will make it for you. it does not matter which OS you run, this has no effect on the geck other than graphics issues. you can't make changes to ANY master file in the geck period, The garden of creation kit does not and never has ever edited a master file "ESM" format is not editable at all in the geck. a (ESP) extension is the only editable file format available, and you have to set one active to do so, other wise ....(it will ask to make one when you click the save button).this is all I an offer you.kitty
Jitansgate
Well from my experience i have never had to create a plugin and i suppose this will be the first time.
Rooker75
GECK Powerup lets you edit masters as if they were plug-ins, but you really don't want to be editing fallout.esm or the DLC masters directly, if that's what you're talking about. It's too easy to make a mistake and screw up to the point the game won't work anymore. Edited May 4, 2014 by Rooker75
