A Combat Mod Idea; Starting Advice, and general ideas for the mod.

Greetings,

A. I'm currently hoping to start production on a Skyrim (TES V) Modification. I have no real idea how to start it, So that really the first topic I'd like to discuss after explaining my idea; of course.

1. The Idea, is basically in conjunction with mods like Deadly Mutilations, Crimson Tide, and BFS. Basically, mods that cause havoc, increase the amount of gore, and add a layer of grit, blood, and pseudo combat realism to Skyrim. However; this mods would not be nearly as complex, or intrepid as the other mods I've listed above.

2. In more depth, I'd like to create a mod that adds a secondary state of injury; allow me to explain my meaning here more thoroughly.

- When a character gets attacked, they either stagger, block stagger, block, ragdoll momentarily, are disarmed, or paralyzed.

- After this, they are attacked again, assuming they have low health (anywhere between around 35% and 1% health remaining) they spasm in a near fetal position crawl, and begin to shift from a position on one knee. During this position, (which we will refer to as 'Near Death 1') the enemy will become nearly defenseless (Nearly, because I am not completely certain in that assumption) And during this period of near defenselessness, they can be either hit with a power attack / normal attack, Bashed with a shield, or climaxed with a finishing move.

- This position has a certain flaw to it, Though I can see its reason for existence, it acts more as a K.O.; or a momentary lapse of energy in the opponent you are facing. I believe that this should be only the first stage in the death of your opponent, and I find that if I was to add something into the Script that runs this action, perhaps I could create a secondary death stage, a 'Near Death 2.'

- Near Death 2 would be a stage that has.. lets say a starting 20% chance to ragdoll the opponent as they are in Near Death 1. In this stage they are still 'alive' and contain a certain portion of health, but because of this; they are subject to a secondary finishing attack. This could be compared to say a state of critical condition just before the person dies, a point where they are drowning in a pool of their own blood, but not yet completely dead.

- The AI would most likely not acknowledge this 'Near Death 2' state, and would assume the person to be a goner; leaving them for dead most likely. In accordance with this, the NPC that is currently in Near Death 2 would suffer slow bleeding damage, and succumb to their injuries without a potential blow.

- This effect could be restored to a Near Death 1 stage, perhaps with a potion, or a bandage; really just any sort of healing item in general.

- The effect itself would be an interesting view for scenes like the 'Warzone' Mod, where groups of NPC's fight among each other. You could have a use for a restoration class Mage, roleplaying picking out the remaining, but critically wounded soldiers; hoping to test your abilities, and bring them from the brink of death!

- It would look extremely awesome to see this in conjunction with say the 'Deadly Mutilations' Mod, you would find Near Death 2 soldiers, or enemies laying around the battlefield of a civil warzone; missing arms, gutted. This would be even more interesting if I could find a way to make them cry out in pain to a certain degree, and repetition: this would add to the effect of a tragic "Can they be saved?" and "My God! Theres so much blood, I can't save you!" sort of atmosphere during fights.

- The degree, and factor of blood loss could be attributed to, say the damage inflicted, and the amount of armor the person is currently wearing.

- If I become skilled enough at the TES V : Creation Kit, I would love to try and make a Near Death 2 finisher stage, where the person is temporarily nearly immortal. To the point where they can be hit over, and over again, and cry out in pain while you slice them to ribbons. In conjunction with the Deadly mutilations mod, this would be an awesome feature.

3. I will state this now, I'm not asking someone to make this mod for me, Or to do anything other than give me some guidance, and direction as to what I should begin with, and where I should start on a project like this one; especially seeing as though I have no experience in TES V's Creation Kit whatsoever.

Thankyou for reading this, and I hope you'll take my thoughts seriously on it.
