I can't save my .esp?

I've made my plugin for the geck, nothing fancy, just a re-spec of excalibat to make it more unique.

So I go to file>save, save it as "boombat" and hit save. I go to my fallout data file though, and it's not there. It's also not in my FOMM load order either. No tutorials actually say how to fix this.

Maybe you have vista and fallout is installed in program files?

That's exactly what I've done. What should I do instead?

I had the same problem when i first started using the geck. it's already been said but i installed to a diff directory. Also if you have a esp or any file on your pc you can't find, you could always run a quick search from the start menu.
