There's a gaping great hole in her basement wall with a couple of planks loosely placed over it!</RANT> The great irony being, it was probably caused by the rats in the first place. P.S. Does anybody else think she loves her rats a little too much? I was divided on the rat issue. On one hand, the lady herself got very annoying in the long run. On the other, the actual rats were pretty cute. In fact, it kinda made me want a pet rat as well.

If your just starting out with this being one of your first quests.......your in for a rocky run. There are more than a few strange quests in this game that is what makes it fun to play. Just do the quests and TRY not to get to personally involved with what you think or you will never get done LOL Madgamer
Megatarius
You get the feeling sometimes with this game that during developement the right hand didn't know what the left hand was doing. I liked that quest, for a first time quest when just starting out in a guild. It doesn't make logical sense that she wouldn't know there was a hole in her wall, but I let it go because it just seemed like the programmers of the quest asked the design team for something that turned out to be different from what they imagined, and maybe there wasn't enough time to make something else. I don't know. Maybe the designers who wrote the quests also modeled stuff for them? There's much weirder stuff in this game. Maybe she only goes down to feed the rats at night, and never goes around that corner?
Ranokoa
OR maybe, hear me out now, the rats are actually LITTLE GNOMES! Or the very first animal testing group that accidentally bit her and now she is infected with SARS.
Matoyak
Or maybe she's simply too lazy/trashy to do more than toss a couple of planks over it and call it a day.Or maybe she's too cheap to pay a builder and is waiting on her good-for-nothing nephew to get his butt over there and fix it up like she asked him four times already. ;)

'Cause the other end of that hole is still inside the city walls.

This is probably just another one of those instances where the writers of the story messed-up again. They could've at least made her live outside the walls in either the docks part of Anvil, or elsewhere nearby but outside...

It explained that in the quest. Kind of lame, maybe, but Bethesda didn't simply overlook something like that.Granted, I have yet to play through the fighter's guild on the PC and my knowledge of that questline is based on the 360 version, so maybe it is something that is different 'tween the two? ~shrug~ It is a fun topic to poke at humorously but they didn't "mess up". :)
