ElijahHouck
I figure this might turn into something bigger than intended, so I'll stay out of the Quick Questions topic.Anyways, at a point in my story (link in sig), I want a mystery object to fall out of the sky. I would love to have the explosion from the end of Zeta be a part of it, but my mod won't require Zeta, as it already requires enough in my opinion. Is it against the rules (Bethesda's or the Nexus Forum's) if I would include just the explosion from Zeta?Would it be a matter of "some people didn't pay for Zeta, so they can't use it?" Cipscis
Technically if you created a similar explosion from scratch using that one as inspiration there shouldn't be any problem, but you're not allowed to redistribute assets from DLC. I believe this is the relevant passage from the Nexus Terms of Service:The posting of copyrighted material, unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material, is strictly prohibited on any Nexus site. When it comes to Bethesda's view on this, I haven't been able to find a direct quote. However, in my experience then general consensus of the modding community is that if any assets from DLC are used by a mod then that mod should rely on the DLC itself to supply the assets. That said, I can hardly say I speak for the modding community, so if anyone feels that I'm wrong on this point please say so. Cipscis
