No NPC dialogue in Tears of the Fiend

Recommended Posts

Having seen TotF recommended I installed it and dutifully slept at an inn. Nothing happened. I checked that everything was properly installed and tried again. Nothing. I went back to my main home (I'm using the AFK Weye expansion) and slept there. Sir Edward Pellew showed up there (which was annoying in itself because it meant he'd been able to avoid two armed guards) but the worst part was that he had no dialogue, either spoken or subtitled. My character's responses were showing up on screen, but there was nothing for Pellew. I checked again that everything was in the right folders then gave up and deactivated the mod. What went wrong?

If you still read this...

Do you have an English version of Oblivion? If not, change the names of the voice folders coming with the mod (imperial, redguard etc.) to those in your language version.

You should also disable all other mods for a check for compability issues.
