"Heard, yes. It won't affect Prynx though, he's only fourteen and you must be a lot older than that before you turn to stone. I'm a bit surprised no one has gone to look for the Child of Healing. I would have thought there must be one. Healing is one of the subjects studied in El Rhun after all. Of course he might not be able to help but it ought to be worth a try."

The boy stares at you for a moment.

"Pardon me for asking but are we walking in any particular direction? To me you seem to be going round in circles?"

OOC: I have been told of what happened before I joined, correct?

"You know of the Children? We were headed to the southern coast as that was where we were told to look for the Child of Healing, whose assistance we'll need in exchange for some sort of water-breathing spell."

"I believe we were headed to a smith or a trainer."

OOC> I missed this.

On topic

"The Children of Magic? Well, I don't know whether they all exist or not but as four of us do I wouldn't be surprised if they all do. Apart from me and Prynx I know Liune in Niyobi and Sylvian. We meet up sometimes. Not sure why we exist though."

Kyrykki thinks for a moment.

"If a Child of Healing exists and he is like the rest of us there is something you should be aware of. We have two things in common. Our parents were both powerful magic users, or beings, each expert in a different kind of magic. And in every case there has been a tragedy involving at least one of those parents. Well, this may not be true of Sylvian as she does not know who her parents were but that in itself suggests tragedy to me. Prynx's mother committed suicide. Liune's disappeared, we don't know where or why. Mine both died. It makes us all very sensitive to certain issues. If you do come across this child be warned there will be a tragedy in the lives of his parents too."

"That certainly fits with what we know of the Child of Magic, and it sounds like it may fit with Auriel, the Child of Healing. The Child of Magic is at Kolokon, and can not move as she will freeze the place solid if she does; she said it was a gift from her father, and that her father and mother had a battle because of his unnatural lusts. The battle destroyed them both, but by some miracle, or otherwise, she survived. She did tell us that the Auriel, if he is real, lives on an island near a southern city. She also told us she has tried sending emissaries before, but none have returned." T'skar looks at their strange companion appraisingly, "You wouldn't have happened to have heard anything about the swords of Zooz, would you?" She waits for an answer.

"There's an island near Memtuz that has some odd stories about it. I was thinking of going there next in case Prynx has gone to investigate it. It's got this huge empty castle in the middle and a small fishing village. The villagers won't go near the castle even though it's supposed to be empty. Well, so I was told. I don't know anything about swords. My skills lie elsewhere."

He grins, and spreads his hands to show flames dancing in the palms of each.

"Still you wanted to see a smith. He'd probably know. I'll take you to the nearest by tracing the furnace. I'm good at that sort of thing."

Next thing he's set off at a cracking pace. Rather breathlessly you find yourselves outside the smithy.

"Anyhow I'd best be off now."

The boy runs into the smithy fire and vanishes.

The smith and his two young assistants scream and then turn to you with scared expressions. The smith hefts a large sword.

"In the name of Jagganath, what are you?"

"Men and women, just as yourself," T'skar flinches, "As for THAT," she points to the fire, "I'm not sure, we just arrived. What do you harbor in your store?" She looks accusingly at the smith.

"We are interested in the swords of Zooz. We have heard many things about them, and were wondering how accurate your replicas are." T'skar waits calmly.

The thought of a sale mollifies the man's fear.

"They are an exact replica of the one in Papred. Of course unless you are an expert it means they look like all the others too. Did you know, the only difference is a small change to the inscription on the hilt. Unless you were studying the inscription you couldn't tell them apart. Of course they do not have that incredible balance the master put into the swords. Anyone who has held a master's sword would know at once that it was a replica. I'm afraid his secret died with him. But a few people think they are beautiful weapons and like them as decorations in their homes. Most of mine I sell to the City Museum in Papred to on sell in their souvenir shop."

He claps his hands and one of the assistants brings in an example. It certainly looks like the swords you have seen.
