"A full sized one like this is 300 nipin. We do a smaller version for 200 and a toy copy for 50."

The price is steep. You can probably afford one without having to raise further funds from Bharat.

The man laughs. "I've never seen any of the swords. I've spent all my life in Zooz but I have a friend who travelled to Papred and brought me back a drawing, measurements and similar information. The weight may be wrong but I had to work with the available materials. For all I know the master may have had something special in the metal. According to my friend the colour's right. And people who know the swords say they are excellent replicas."

"We have heard rumors that there may be an original sword here in Zooz? Of course it is all speculation, but would you have heard anything of it?" T'skar waits.

"A sword here?" The man shakes his head. "Anything here would have been taken away to one of the big museum cities - too risky to leave in Zooz. I know only five of the nine swords exist but if anything had once been here it would have been washed away hundreds or even thousands of years ago. Either that or some Zooz family has it locked away in a secret sealed vault and never told anyone. I doubt if it is the latter but ask Ishrat. He'll know where all the secure vaults are even if he's never been in them."

He glances at one of his assistants - a youth of 19 or 20.

"Rawlpindi here was going to see Ishrat later today to buy any copper items I can melt down. He could go now and take you if you like. He'll be taking the cart so it'll save you a long walk. Now, did you actually want to buy this replica, or were you just window shopping?"

"We had come to just window shop, but having seen the superior quality of your work I think we must take this one. Who knows when we will have a chance to see another fine replica of the Master's work. And we will take you up on the ride to see Ishrat as well." T'skar waits for the sword to be wrapped.
