Malchik
The receptionist seems to relax. "Oh yes. Sometimes people do bring weapons through on their way to wilder parts of Bashkher but they don't need them here. I'm afraid if you don't want to go to the festival everything is closed until tomorrow. We can do you a basic lunch of salad and fruit however. And wine or ale if you wish." She turns to Baba-John. "Museums are full of OLD things. Old is ugly. There is nothing old here." Well, the guide had warned you that the Diamond is somehow cut off from reality. OOC> You may go to the festival or wander about or laze in your rooms. Please advise me as to which you do.
phawk69
A town with no crime, and all those enthralled music lovers with bulging pockets just waiting to be emptied T'skar thinks. "Why Mandrake, how kind" she says with a twinkle in her eye, "why don't you bring your guitar along, I know she said it is the grand finally, but you may find time to play some of what you have been practicing." Taking the flower, she turns to go to a room. "I'll be down in a little bit, I just need to freshen up" she smiles over her shoulder. Once in her room, T'skar changes into her white blouse and skirt. Turning down the tops of her soft boots she thinks I still need to get some sandals. Twining the flower in her hair, she comes back down and says to the others "Meet you here at noon." Then taking Mandrakes arm, she heads out to the festival. When they arrive, she scans the crowd casually, looking for others doing the same thing - anyone that could be another thief, or a guard. Using Mandrake as a distraction, tripping him into a likely looking group, she helps catch one of the falling group and attempts to lighten his purse as well. Baba-John
Kalmer and Baba decide to see the sites, enjoy the music and drink some good wine. :P You gonna join us Sael?
phawk69
"Wow, I must really need practice if even you could see me, luckily it seems noone else noticed" T'skar says, "And although it isn't the only reason I came with you, I did see some distinct possibilities presented by the situation. I’m not stealing for money, although that is a nice reward, but to hone my skills in a time of need, and of course for the thrill of getting away with it.” She smiles coyly, tosses her hair, and heads off into the crowd, to listen :)
Arturius
"I'd love to" Sael Joins Baba and Kalmer in their sight seeing and merryment. Though he steers a little clear of the wine, eyeing it wistfully. (as much to himself) "not this time, not again...." he then pours more wine for Kalmer and Baba. Malchik
It is as well t'skar is not looking for money as none of the people are carrying any. She finds an assortment of fans and bits of sheet music. The inhabitants of the Diamond are unusual for Bashkheri in being tall and blond. They wear white sarongs. While you are looking around a rather attractive woman in her mid thirties comes over to you. Some tinkly harp music is playing in the background. "Visitors. How nice. You have missed most of the festival I am afraid but you can certainly hear the grand finale." The woman gives a peal of bell like laughter of the kind that can easily become irritating. She is moving her fan around continually. "I am Ayala Parhad by the way, in case you think I am rather forward. I am city governor. It is my job to ensure everyone in Golconar is happy. You were falling I noticed. I hope you are not ill?" Her blond hair is arranged in a kind of confection curling upwards with two long ringlets hanging over her shoulders. It suits her. Her mouth wears a permanent smile. The expression of humour does not extend to her blue eyes; they are calculating and shrewd. Those who go to the festival may or may not like it according to their taste in music. The others find nothing to do but stay in their lodging house getting slowly soused on overpriced but drinkable wine at Bharat's expense.
phawk69
"Ayala Parhad the city Governor, hummm, where have I heard that name before? Oh, I remember, Bharat talked about you just before we set out from Papred. I know you wouldn't want to miss the rest of the festival in your city, and my friend here is quite interested in music so we wouldn't want to miss it either, but maybe we could come and see you tomorrow? There are 8 of us in total, if that wouldn't be too inconvenient? Say eightish?" T'skar asks hopefully.
gnaag
"Wait Guys I have decided to go there. Maybe I can learn something new." Gnaag ran to Baba, Sael and Kalmer as they were leaving the lodging.
