The Master Of Zooz

"You said you don't need food, drink, or rest, and don't feel heat and cold as a side effect of a potion. Do you need oxygen? Could you dive for the lost sword, if we could find a Captain willing and able to sail to it's resting place?" T'skar asks hopefully, "I'm sure we could get on board unnoticed between us."

Sael Looks thoughtful then suggests:

"I say I don't suppose we could stack the swords we have on a wooden base and float it on water and use it as a compass?"

"As far as getting the one in the sea i read a novel once, well actually i've read a lot of novels, romance mostly, some adventure, but i digress, in this particular novel the hero had to escape a pirate isle and he had a rather good idea, turned a fishing boat upside down then walked under the water to the mainland straight past the pirate port. well the pirates were furious he escaped and then... oh drat, cant remember the end. Well i'll just have to reread it again" *sigh* "but yes well what about and upside down underwater boat".

"I say, you said you were master of life, i don't suppose you have any books on healing magic do you? you see i'm a bit of a dab hand but i won't miss out on a chance to learn a new trick or two."

Mascor raises an eyebrow. "Well if one sword points to another you could perhaps use the two you have but you would need to be careful that they are not just pointing at each other. Why not find your captain and get his views on possible locations first and then try your experiment."

He smiles at Sael. "I might be prepared to teach you a few life spells if you succeed in finding the sword last at sea."

After having thought about what Seal said about turning the boat upside down Tiax seems to have gotten an idea.

"Should we be able to get to the location where the ship sunk I think it would be best if we would have a rather fine watertight, preferrably large, barrel perhaps with glass in it but the bottom must be open. With all that air we should also add weigth, some large rocks on ropes should be fine... If anything goes wrong we can cut them loose and float to the surface or the ropes are cut, wich I consider wrong if we haven't found the swords yet, we will still ge to the surface."

After a few seconds Tiax resumes with a more serious face.

"The biggest proble would still be air supply. It would take to long to build an air pump and rather hard for those who operate it or it would be to expensive to buy one."

Tiax examines the shelves and book cases.

"Would you have anything on time manipulation, master?"

Mascor shakes his head. "The spells that allow you to breathe underwater were the provenance of air and water schools in El Rhun. Perhaps on your travels you will find such a wizard. There may be others in Bashkher of whom I do not know."

He thinks for a moment.

"I can tell you where you might try. Kolokon. It is a strange city high in the mountains. Once it was under the control of an El Rhuni wizard, not a nice man, who specialised in weather magic. He was married to wizard of Air. They are dead but the offspring of such a marriage will surely have inherited their power. As you must travel west to Ippikander, Akitaron and Zooz and then return to Dohoti, you will pass through Golconar again. I will do what research I can into the sword for you to make sure there is nothing I have missed. Get the sword from Ippikander and there learn more of Akitaron from the mage Nikishastra. Visit Akitaron and Zooz. You will, if lucky, have five swords and water breathing skills when you return here. We know where two more swords are so it will only be the Golconar sword missing. And you will have a better chance of using your idea of the sword tips with more than two. That is my suggestion."

"That sounds very wise, Master" T'skar pipes up, "The trip overland may also give us time to find more out about the Swords, and there may be something useful in that as well." Turning to Baba she says "What do you think?"

Baba seems momentarily stunned, as if struck by lightning, so Kalmer answers for him.

"We should head to Kolokon as soon as possible. The best way would be to travel by sea to Biksinder from Golconar, making the most of our time in Golconar and during the voyage to ask about an experienced shipmaster who may be able to help. And glean as much lore of the area as possible. Then it will be over land to Kolokon. And thence to Ippikander once our tasks are done. We should stock up as much as possible at Biksinder. It is also quite a cultural delight, I hear.

"Any final words before we leave, anyone? Master Mascor?"

"What about Ayala? I really don't think it would be good for her to find out about Master Mascor. Is there any way you could make people forget about us? Or maybe you could teach me a spell that would work?" T'skar wonders hopefully.
